I HAVE A 1994 CHRYSLER LHS THAT KEEPS SHUTING DOWN ON ME. THE BATTERY KEEPS DRAINING. IT HAS A NEW ALTERNATOR AND BATTERY WHAT ELSE COULD IT BE?

adjust the light switch in the trunk so that when it is all but closed the light goes out

drain you have to find

Could be the alternator
Could be many things

Engine may be about to seize. Could be fuel being flooded in combustion chamber. Could be water being leaked into it. The engine becomes 'heavy' thus it needs strong voltage for starter to turn the engine.

the pcm can be damaged by a shorted alt. or the wrong terminals during a jump start

If the "dying" word here refers to engine shutting down often then its not a problem related to battery/alternator/battery cable. What you need to get checked is:

1. Fuel pump
2. injectors / FI

Please take your car to a expert mechanic who would be able to detect exact faulty component and don't waste money on guess work.

You first off have to take the belts off the front of the engine Then take off the front covers and the external belt tensioner then inside there is the water pump You will have to drain your antifreeze then remove the timing belt You might as well replace this part too

Have ignition switch checked
