Check the front wheel bearings .... very common . While driving turn the wheel gently from side to side and see if the noise changes .. this will load and unload the bearings.

Hello i have a 2000 chevy blazer 4x4 has a growling noise gets louder the faster you go no change when you put in four wheel drive.put new hub bearing in no change.what do i try next.when i drive it drive...

ok does noise change when turning left or right if not its not a wheel bearing next try putting in neutral at 55 does noise change what you are looking for these is pinion and carrier bearings in differential the noise can be coming from several places have you checked all your fluid levels front and rear diffs and transfer case also check fluid condition also check for metal in fluids if you stick finger or paper towel in and if you see metal you will know where your noise is coming from

Chevy blazer 2000 v6 atomatic makes roaring noise starting at 20 miles per hour get louder when you let off the gas

If the problem sounds or feels like its from the rear of the vehicle, its most likely in the differential, specifically pinion bearings.

Loud clicking noise from front end of 2000 chevy blazer 4x4

Is the clicking noise most prevalent when turning close to full lock?
If so, then check your front drive shafts. It could be that their joints are heavily worn.

If not, then please describe when the clicking noise is most prevalent.

2000 chevy blazer ls 4x4 poping noise in the frount end rotors are shot the axel is some what shot

ok -- not quite sure what the problem is, yet a viable solution would be to replace it. Try area salvadge yards for your parts to keep the costs down.

2000 4 wd blazer loud whinning noise

Sounds like you have a bad bearing hub (likely in front but you need to determine which side) You really can't tell by shaking it, unless its falling apart. Remove front brakes and rotors and turn the bearing by hand, any slight roughness is a problem (you can't exert as much force as the vehicle weight of the vehicle)

Squeaky noise in front end.

I've seen some light trucks of the same era have worn bushings on the frame. You might want to check with Chevy dealer for details... there may have been a recall.

Front end

Check the fluid level in the trans. With the engine hot, truck idling in park, make sure the fluid reaches the "HOT" range on the trans dip stick and it is bright red and doesn't smell burnt.
