You have fuel injector malfuction.one or more injectors are stuck in the open position and putting too much fuelinto the cylinders. take out spark plugs and one of them will be dicolored from excessive fuel

Are you sure it is fuel ? Those motors are known for bad intake gaskets leaking coolant into the engine block .. This could explain the over heating issue.

Why oil is leaking from air cleaner 1999 chevy venture?

Hi
The engine produce little oil steam when is at normal temperature, this is normal.
This steam goes to the air cleaner for recycling.
Now, the reasons to see oil dripping from the air cleaner are:
Engine oil overfilled, or engine breather valve( if fitted) faulty, or the piston rings causing the pressure to scape into the oil sump ( this means engine damage).
get a technician to chem it.
good luck.

I need to find the location on my 1999 chevy venture van for the oil filter

Front of engine, must bend skid plate out of the way. Look at the front of engine just a little towards passenger side.

1999 Chevy Venture overheated on the freeway, had white smoke that smelled like oil and wouldn't start again. Had to get it towed to my house. It will turn over but not start and there is no water in the...

white exhaust tells me you have a leaky head gasket. if the coolant is totally gone and the engine was rattling before it died the engine may be totally obsolite now. have a pro look at it

1999 Chevy Venture Problems

you have 4 water lines, they are 2 radiator hoses (top and bottom) the bottom one runs from the lower part of the radiator to the water pump, the top radiator hose runs from the upper part of the radiator to the thermostat housing

2 heater hoses, they go from the water pump to the firewall.

if you know which one has a hole then you should take the van to a parts store (if you can safely drive it that far) and show them, they can get the right one for you... and sometimes you can talk someone into putting it on for you.

as for the fluctuating gauges you probably need new sending units for the temp gauge and fuel gauge

Check engine light

I believe this is an evaporative system leak such as a loose gas cap or leak in an evaporative system line.
