How to change the flasher /tail light on a 2000 buick lesabre

  • Taradactyl Dec 12, 2008

Basically the same problem, except my question involves the tail lights on a 1990 model.

  • Anonymous Dec 20, 2008

Mine's the same. The blinker light on the panel won't come on and neither will any flasher light but the fuse is not busted.

Go to the trunk, remove the plastic nut holding the trunk interior skin in place (the nuts are the plastic that the trunk net hangs on), the skin will pull away with a snap after that. Remove three bolts from the back of the taillight, the taillight assembley will slid out from the exterior of the car. Remove the wire assembly from the taillight, replace the bulb and put it back into the taillight. SLide the taillight assembly back in place, but the three bolts back on, snap the trunk skin into place, screw the plastic trunk net bolt back in.

2003 Buick LeSabre. I have no tail lights, but have all the other lights. Can a bad switch cut off just tail light?

It could be the switch. Check this though that I found

Wire broken in wire harness that follows right rear trunk arm. It is a common problem.

2000 buick lesabre right side no tail lights

You have to start with the basics. Check the bulbs to see if they are blown. Before you replace the bulbs check the wiring harness in the trunk to see if there are any pinched wires.

2000 buick lesabre turn signals dont work but hazard lights do

buicks usually have a separate flasher for each circuit, the flasher for the turn signals should be near the one for the hazards. it will be in the owners manual.

Water in tail light 2000 buick lesabre

hi, if you have water inside your tail light then this means that the seal on your tail light has become damaged due to corrosion the only thing you can do is replace the whole tail light.

Not doing this will cause the electrics to corrode causing you loads of problems with the lights and would also blow loads of fuses.

Its best you change this sooner rather than later as it would save you money in the long term.

Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok
