Having to replace factory fitted radio/cd auto electrician found wiring behind radio hard and easily broken so unusable. Is wing hard to replace

Its not to hard if u are capable of running wire. First off most aftermarket radios have generally the same wireing red is power to key yellow is power strait to the battery and black is ground now depending on the radio you buy there will be one or two blue wies one with a white line the one blue wire with white line is your power antenna wire if you have a power antenna the other blue wire is for added components like an amp for your subs if you have one. Now there 8 wires that will be green, green/white, purple purple/white, white, white/black, grey, grey/white and those are all your speaker wires front and rear channels. There might be more wires like auto dim and mute and so on but most of the time nobody hooks them up because thay are not needed. Hope this helps good luck.

I have a 96 escort with no radio ;the wires are there, but i want to install a new radio.i don't know what wires hook up to the new radio

Hi, if the connector is still there, it is easiest to purchase a ford wiring adapter. The adapter will match the factory wires to an aftermarket stereo. If the connector is gone, see your factory wire colors below. Please let me know if you need additional help or have any questions, and thanks for using FixYa.

I need radio wiring diagram for 2004 honda civic sedan and instructions on how to remove the radio

I just installed a radio and speakers in my 1992 Civic LX (132323 miles). Most radios are removed by disassembling some of the dashboard components. On mine I had to remove the lower center console (where the ashtray/lighter is located) to access the rear of my old radio. There is a metal support strap back there which stabilizes the radio and provides equipment grounding. This has to be removed from the radio before you can un-install the radio. Also there may be a metal mounting sleeve around the radio, if so you must use (2) thin metal strips (or thin screwdrivers)to disengage the (2) side clips from the sleeve. You should then be able to remove your old radio.
As for wiring , I had to discard the wire harness the came from the old stereo and hard wire the new unit. I used a 12v circuit tester to find my (+) positive (typically red) and (-) negative (typically black) leads. Speaker wires are in pairs. (example: blue/white white/blue or white/white-black)
