On a 96 Chevy C1500 4x4, I rebuilt the transmission and someone else put it in. They drove it for a week and said it was fine. Then they called and said it is slipping. I tried to check for codes and there no communications to my solus scanner. Fuses #8 and 14 have no power, they are not blown. There's no power to the transmission as I took a test light and checked the harness to the transmission. I believe it maybe a PCM problem. What else can I check?

SOURCE: brake lights do not work, all other lights work.

Have you checked the brake light switch thats activated by the brake pedal arm?if not follow the brake pedal arm up under the dash and you will find a switch that goes on and off when you push the arm in and out.Make sure you have power in and out and the switch is correctly adjusted.

SOURCE: 2000 Cavalier catalytic converter was stolen/check engine light

The check engine light is probably indicating a catalytic converter malfunction the Oxygen sensor that is located after the cat tells the computer if the cat is functioning properly it is possible the wire has been broken or damaged. To see if the cat is there jack up the car and look under the passenger and driver area of the car follow the exhaust pipe from the front back the first thing the pipe comes to should be the cat it looks like a muffler with a wire going to a sensor after toward the back side of it, I doubt they never installed one but I guess it is possible.

96 caravan 3.0 , have had it two weeks now bought from a cousin who had trans rebuilt. Test drove it, everything was fine. seems the trans was starting to require a little gas to move but after you got it...

If it happens in all gears then the out put shaft is worn. If it only happens in reverse then find out from your cousin where he had it repaired from .It might be still under warranty. If not take it to a tranny repair shop sounds like oil pump in converter may be weak 0r reverse gear or its idler is worn.

1994 F350 transmission intermittent problem

I had the same problem in my 96 f-350. The transmission has slipped recording a slip code in the transmission. You can pull the codes and get it. I shifts into a safe mode that increases the pressure inside your transmission as part od a fail safe. Plain and simple, you have to have the tranny rebuilt.

94 toyota camry le

Hi,when you say rebuilt, are you speaking of the tranny. If so,then you should call the tranny repair shop to have it towed back at there expense. No doubt, you have a warranty on the repairs? As far as the "water sensor".The vehicle has an engine coolant temperature sensor but this should not give you your symptoms...Please rate this answer..Thank You and Good Luck!!!
