If you have a remote, lock then unlock the doors using the remote. That should stop the horn. If that doesn't work, use the ignition key in the driver's door lock and turn the key all the way to the left, then all the way to the right. Of course, this all has to be done with the battery connected, and the horn honking the whole time. If none of this works, look for a reset button under the driver side dash, or it may be a toggle switch. With the key in the on position. push and hold the button until you hear a beep from the alarm. On some cars, the reset button is behind the driver side kick panel.

Hi all,I have a Ford focus 2004 tdci 1.8 and the immobiliser intermittently won't turn off,I've tried both keys and its still won't start.kind regards Dean

Ford products are sensitive to changes in Battery voltage. The system views low Voltage as an attempted theft and makes the Alarm go off.

Remove the Battery, return it with a full charge or new Battery. Some other symptoms would be slow cranking or clicking like a dead battery. The Antitheft reduces starter Voltage to around 7 Volts making starting nearly impossible.

Please rate my info. If all else fails, the Identity in the car memory may no longer match the identity on the car keys. You would need to have a Dealer rematch the keys to the car.

2004 lincoln twon car alarm keeps going off four times two days watched it happen twice calm day no movement. had battery changed today... could that have solved it... went off just before they took the...

factory alarms sense changes in voltage in the system. If you have recently plugged in a gps or other device in the cigarette lighter it may cause a voltage spike or increase in draw that the alarm system is detecting and that sets it off. Try removing all aux devices from power when you leave the car and see if that works, why did you replace the battery, was it going dead not holding a charge, you could have a problem with your electrical system. an open circuit or ground problem somewhere.

New battery -alarm sounds- have to disconnect the battery-

The sounding alarm maybe a security system installed by in the truck. Disconnecting the battery will only temporarily solve your problem, but will resume once you reconnect the battery for electrical power.

You must find the keychain/remote of the security system and disable it. If you are unable to locate this, you can have it disconnected by a qualified automotive electrician.

Word of caution though, if you are using the keyless entry system with the security system, this will be disabled until you install a receiver with such function.

Hope this helps.
