Tail and brake lights on right rear are out

The most common culprit is a blown fuse.

Your manual should be able to direct you to the location of the fuse box and applicable fuse. Replace fuses only with those of the same rating called for in the manual.

My brake lights and rear blinkers are not working. I have replaced the bulbs in both brake lights. What next?

most blinkers uses relays, and when they flashes fast one light is out, but you replaced your burnt bulb might be a bad relay.

Cars brake lights wont turn on when aye brake. checked fuse panel but no manual book to tell me which fuse is the brakes????

First of all,try turning on your blinkers and check the rear lights. If they are working,it is not the fuse. Also try the hazards. If rear blinkers work but brake lights do not,it is probably the brake pedal sensor/switch.It usually is on the back of the brake pedal,a little higher up near the linkage. If you have any questions, reply to this and I will get an autolink to your post and will reply ASAP to go further.Good luck! TURN SIGNAL, BRAKE & HAZARD LIGHTS

No Turn Signal Operation (blinker)The turn signal lights in your car are a basic electrical system that controls the front and rear blinker lights to alert the intended direction of the vehicle. We have listed some of the most common problems and repair troubleshooting tips below:
Troubleshooting Procedure
To start troubleshooting this problem:
  • Turn the key to the on position (do not start engine)
  • Inspect the system fuse located in the fuse panel and replace if needed. If you cannot find the location of the blinker fuse consult your owner's manual or an online repair manual
  • When a blinker flasher fails it can cause blinker lights to say on, not blink, or not go on at all. To test the blinker system flasher, remove the flasher unit and insert a jumper wire between the two terminals. If blinker stays on in both directions without blinking, replace the flasher. If you cannot find the location of the blinker flasher consult your owners manual or an online repair manual.

99 mercury mystide had rear running light broken

If the driver's side tail light is working, it's not a fuse. Use a test light to check for power at the bulb holder. One terminal will be for tail light, the other for brake/turn light. If the is constant power for tail light, replace bulb. If no power, trace wiring from bulb holder to driver's side junction. Probable broken wire between the two tail lights.
