Yes. Wheel speed sensor. I have an 08 Vue. Same problem happens every year. They say its a corroded wheel speed sensor. Happens every January, always on the left rear. Think they have a design flaw, but GM doesn't appear to agree with me.

I have a 2008 saturn vue and when going downhill fast and hitting the brakes the car rattles and shakes. i don't have trouble stopping. The abs light just came on. will my brakes fail me?

No they wont fail that is your anti locks kicking in. You probably have abs codes have some one check abs for codes.could be as simple as a bad wheel speed sensor

06 saturn vue Abs light will not go off brakes are good

abs is a sensor not your brake pads =sensor gone bad or debris /corrosion ---wire or connection damaged --or even hub/wheel bearing/ damaged or going bad--- abs sensor is incorporated into hub

2009 Saturn Vue XE, ABS/TCS/Stabilitrak lights on.

The Wheel Hub Brg is 162.79 at Rock Auto.Com
The sensor 30 to $55.00

Start using Google,Rock Auto & You Tube Video-- to
educate yourself-- before approaching these repair shops

From what is see on Rock- the speed sensor is not part of
the bearing assy on any of the 4 motors

If you can't lay under there to replace your own sensor,
if that is the only problem,I don't have any more to say
You don't need a shop to do that

Have a neighbor or relative do it

Abs & TCS-off dash lights both stay on. Pushing the TCS off switch does not help. "seem" to stop fine. Emergency brake seems to be fully off, not dragging. My wife encountered a patch of ice...

Hello: If there is a problem in the ABS it will bring on the tcs light as well. To determine what is causing the problem you need to have the ABS checked with a scanner to get the code. Then trouble shoot the components that the code leads you to. Normal braking is available with the light on but TCS is not as it relies on ABS for functioning the TCS.

ABS, TCS & SCS lights came on all together and won't go away on 2008 Saturn Vue

You have a wheel sensor failed. Likely on the left rear. I have an 08 Saturn Vue and mine has failed repeatedly. First time Jan 09, then again Jan 10.. and once again in Jan 11. Finally dealt with GM Customer Service, as dealer just keeps replacing the sensor. They claim corrosion. GM CS told them to investigate further, so they replaced a connector and sensor this time. Not holding my breath. Thank god for warranty. Will probably end up getting rid of the car.

The ABS, TCS, and ESP warning lights have suddenly come on in my 08 Saturn Vue. What do I need to do? Is the car safe to drive?

Safe? it depends what you think safe is. if going only a few miles or so TO THE DEALER you should be okay but only to the dealer, have it towed if its under warrenty cause the dealer could say they wont fix it cause you drove it with the light on. Also, the manual says what to do in this case. By the way, continued driving might cause more damage to the sensors and electrontics
I'm not telling you to drive it so you be the judge as to wether or not you should drive it to the dealer or tow it there. Dont worry it could be something as simple as a blown fuse

I have a 2004 saturn vue when i apply the brakes my abs comes on

It sounds like one of your wheel sensors isn't working, and the ABS is thinking that one wheel is locked up, so it's activating ABS.
