2006 jeep grand Cherokee headlamp assembly removal( passenger side): got the grill off and the air filter intake removed as well as one of the 3 screws holding the assembly in. However i cant figure out how to get to the 2 screws below the assembly that are blocked by the bumper. It seems that the bumper would have to be removed to get to these 2 screws. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable. 2. Remove the cover from over the top of the front lamp unit (1). (Refer to 08 - Electrical/8L - Lamps and Lighting/Lamps/Lighting - Exterior/UNIT, Front Lamp - Removal) . 3. Remove the grille from the front of the vehicle. (Refer to 23 - Body/Exterior/GRILLE - Removal) . 4. If the front lamp being serviced is on the same side of the vehicle as the engine fresh air intake tube, unsnap the air intake tube from the air cleaner housing and remove it from between the lamp and the radiator yoke hydroform. 5. Remove the three screws (3) that secure the two lower and the upper inboard lamp mounting brackets to the front end sheet metal. 6. If equipped, remove the push pin fastener (2) that secures the upper outboard lamp mounting bracket to the top of the radiator yoke hydroform. 7. Push the tab of the front fascia reinforcement forward far enough for lamp mounting bracket clearance while maneuvering the lamp unit inboard during removal. 8. Pull the lamp away from the front of the vehicle far enough to access and disconnect the headlamp and dash wire harness connector (5) from the pigtail connector on the back of the lamp housing. 9. Remove the lamp unit from the vehicle.

Hi, i have a 2001 grand jeep cherokee 6 cylinder larado, the car is not running hot, the fan won't stop running, i was told to disconnect the battery cable which i did so do i need a new fan?

you probably have a bad solid state fan relay. This is a very common problem with jeeps. You'll love where they put this one. It is located under the passenger side headlamp assembly, but wait it gets better. The entire front headlamp grill support needs to be removed in order to gain access to the relay. The good thing is there is a shortcut that involves cutting a small hole in the headlamp/grill support under the passenger side headlamp assembly. I have a photo that shows where to make the hole and can post it if your interested in trying to tackle this yourself.

1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0L 6cyl: Radiator fan is CONTANTLY running, even with the engine and everything turned off - it has drained my battery. Have no idea what could be keeping the fan running, please...

there is a solid state fan relay located under the passenger side headlight assembly. There are two ways to get at it. Either you can tear apart the entire front of the vehicle or you can remove the passenger side headlamp assembly and carefully drill a hole about in the middle of the opening and down towards the ground. Look in the hole you drilled you should be able to see the relay. Continue drilling/cutting until you have a hole just large enough to get the old relay out and a new one in. The hole will be covered by the headlamp and has become the preferred method of replacing since they are so common and removing the entire front assembly is so time consuming.

Cant find the fan relay for 2002 jeep cherokee

It lives under the right headlamp assembly. You can remove the front fascia and headlamp bracket to gain access, or you can just remove the right headlamp and use a hole saw to drill a hole in the bracket assembly. It is made of a hard plastic material and the relay is bolted to the fender area underneath.
