I have a '94 jeep wrangler that idles fine but when you accelerate, it dies out. Seems starved for fuel. Could the fuel pump just not be giving it enough fuel?

Had the starvation issue at one time on my 94 wrangler 4.0. Replaced the fuel filter etc. Turned out to be the fuel sending unit in the tank. It has a boot that had failed and was getting effectively sucked in to the openings where fuel was supposed to be flowing. (Per Jeep dealers explanation) Replace the top seal of the fuel tank when you do this. Dealer screwed up my gas gauge when they did this repair so watch out.

When it warms up and acts up disconnect the ECT,(coolant temp sensor) it mounted toward the rear of your alternator, see if there is any difference, also inspect the hose at the map sensor make sure its not torn on any ends or kinked,
if you just filled up i might be dirty fuel go get some fuel injector cleaner stp is good, lucas is better dump in your tank and cross your fingers you might have to start up a couple times.
have u ck out the ignition switch [not the key & tumblers],, or the neutral safety switch to see if u have power ,,also seen broken wire at solenoid on starter too,,hope it helped,,
The fuel pump is located in the gas tank and the filter is right in front of the tank on the inside of the frame. I have never worked on that particular throttle body, but if it has a throttle position sensor, that could be what your problem is.
check the ground wirea at the dipstick tube, remove them all,and bend the ends of the wire, look for weak or broken wires, i bought several 4 cyl jeep that had problems at shift, fall on their face < after the engine settled back in to place,so wires made contact> just a thot. the ground wires are small the engine moves, when shifting.
