2002 Cadillac Escalade 4x4 When turning front wheels pop like in 4 wheel drive. Now the service stability system light is on full time also the ABS light. I have had it at two dealers one couldn't figure out what was wrong no code comes up, the second one replaced the transfer case and after paying $3,000 it still is doing the same thing. Now the dash, radio and computer lights are out. I tried to turn up the dash dimmer but now the back lights will not work if I don't manually turn on the lights. I checked the fuse but it looks o.k.

If you think the dealer caused it get a hold of GM district rep .Talk to the service manager . If the dealer Technician's can't fix it , get the factory involved . In most cases if it is something they did they need to take care of it ,free .

SOURCE: Stabily system diabled - error

Your stability control uses the ABs wheel speed Sensors and the steering collumn sensor to know "when you need more stability". It sounds as if the front wheel speed sensor is sending bad info due to:
A) corrosion under the sensor causing erratic readings
B) front wheel bearing failing causing erratic readings
C) column sensor failing causing erratic readings

The GM dealer is the only place I know to have THOSE components tested. You can change any of these sensors yourself once you know which one it is. The "service stability" indicator is on because one of the sensors is not giving correct data, and the default mode is to disable the system.

Good luck and hope this helps,

SOURCE: abs light/traction control light

You can check out what the trouble code is by pushing and holding the information button and the up arrow (right side of instrument cluster above the radio) until all the instrument clusters light. Press the information button (last) to enter test mode. I've had an error C1234, meaning Left rear wheel sensor fault. I found the problem to be a corroded connector under the chasis just under the rear left door about 2 feet in. I had to by-pass (replace 1 wire due to corrosion at the connector.

SOURCE: 2002 Cadillac Escalade Service Stability System Light comes on

The problem is the wheel bearings that have the ABS sensor attached. Check the computer for the code as there is also an up date for the wiring sytem with a jumper for $60 fix that possible could solve the problem.

What is a abs modular on a Escalade Cadillac?

Jesse, The module will not stop fluid to rear brakes, a bad master cylinder will, leaking lines, air in brake system, faulty metering block if equipped, collapsed flex lines or pinched brake line faulty caliper or brake cylinders, etc. will cause the possible feeling of no rear brakes.
(ABS Module components) the ABS speed sensors and the ABS control module . When the brake is applied, the ABS control module reads the speed data from the speed sensor and sends the correct pressure to each wheel to prevent any wheel lock up, eg. sliding/skidding Links below have more info.

Why do i have to push the stabilizer track button for my 02 escalade can accelerate?

Could be a Wheel speed/ABS sensor that is causing the lack of power until you turn it off. Basically the computer is being tricked into thinking that it needs to apply the brakes.

Abs light, traction control light, and service stability lights have come on in my 2004 Escalade. hooked up to scanner and it pulls a CO110. Valve stuck

C0110 is abs pump circut problem. The pump is located on the frame rail under drivers seat area. The abs pump comes on to apply brakes as needed for the stability and abs systems. There is a fuse as well as a relay in the relay-fuse center under the hood on the drivers side. please check the fuse and switch the relay with another one that looks the same.
