Timing marks for any vehile,even a Mercedes,are on the harmonic balancer.The pullys that drive the belts is bolted to the crankshaft and that knotch needs to be marked with a white paint pen.Line it up with the timing tab on the block right there at the harmonic balancer.
A Mercedes benz dealer in parts and service should be able to order a manel for you if not,try Auto Zone they have the chelton books that show how to for Mercedes.
