There are two plastic covers at the transmission to remove. Three 10 mm bolts. Then two 13 mm or 15 mm bolts to remove the starter. Pull it down and remove the positive lead and the ignition switch lead. 13 mm and 8 mm or 10 mm nuts. You have to raise the car a bit, block, be safe. The starter is under the car on the drivers side. on the radiator side of the engine.
You should have two or three wires that go to the large post on the solenoid, including the 4 gauge wire from the battery. Then one 16 gauge wire to the small post. That wire comes from the key switch. Let me know if you need colors for wires.
Since its right there at the front of the motor, you really only need a simple ratchet and appropriate sized socket or box wrench to get it loose, but you want to make sure that you label the wires as to remember which terminals they go on;if not reattached correctly, there will be electrical problems with gauges and overall car operations...
I had to do mine recently. You have to remove the radiator to make elbow room. Then jack up the car, as the trick is to remove the motor mount, then jack up the motor itself as high as you can get it to go. At that point you should be able to see the starter. That frees up getting to the starter. The rest is easy, no explanation required, it's just figuring out how to get to it that's a bear. Good luck.
Should be between the radiator and engine, underneath the car. There might be a plastic cover held on with 10mm bolts. The starter bolts go up thru the starter, into the block.
