I have a 2000 S type Jaguar with a 3.0 and runs ok at idle but rear rough after gets hot and has no chek engine light on or any codes. Has been sitting for a while. Has a used fuel pump and a used transmission. Engine will not go above 3000 rpm, trans has delay going into gear. Engine cuts out bad and sounds like it back fires sometimes. Feels like it is losing throttle control or hitting the rpm limiter.

SOURCE: car is boging out in park and will not go over

The engine will not free rev at 3000 rpm - its self protecting.
I do not understand what ''boging out '' means so can not help with this part of the question.
good luck

SOURCE: 2000 Jag S Type Help!

fail safe mode is something the vehicle computor will go into when there is a problem with the vehicle it allows u to get off the highway or road safely you need to take vehicle to repair shop or your dealer which ever u prefer Failsafe engine mode on a 2000 jaguar s type is caused by a stopped up throttle body. Jaguar says not to clean the throttle body since it has a protective coating to help keep deposits from accumulating. You can clean the throttle body as long as you use ONLY throttle body cleaner that states it is safe to use with a protective coating. The butterfly valve in the throttle body will actually stick not allowing air to flow into the manifold causing failsafe engine mode to kick in reducing the amount of power your engine will produce. To solve the issue just clean out your throttle body, it will cost you around $5 dollars and take 1 hour of your time.

Rough idle

Both the 6 and 8 cylinder engines use coil on plug ignition. You would have a small coil on top of each spark plug. Its possible you have water in the tube near the plug.
If the check engine light is on you should have a code for the cylinder in question.

Have a 2000 jaguar s type, the check engine light comes on and sometimes flashes when car is put through car wash or it rains also will misfire and run rough and idle rough, what is the problem?

You have an exposed electrical source and/or a fan belt that is slipping when it get wets. When the belt slips, voltage drops and ignition is very voltage sensitive. Check you fan belt if it seems loose and or glazed (smooth)

I have a 2001 Jaguar S Type 3.0l that had a P0430 engine code and runs rough at idle when stopped and in gear. Replaced the fuel filter and catalytic converter on the passenger side but vehicle still runs...

PO430 = Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2) You may still have a sensor fault in the combustion/injection system, You need to get this checked at a garage with the correct monitoring system for while the engine is running. Or take a gamble and change sensors. Hope this helps - good luck.
