You can spend half that money and go with a non air conversion kit from Strutmasters. With these air rides its not for sure that by changing the air shock that you will fix your car. If you car has cracks in the air lines that can cause a big issue too. When we replaced the ride on my moms Deville, it was an easy switch to this non air conversion kit. No more low rider!
if you got the lus off and the wheel is still stuck, it is probably corroded to the hub. Spray some penetrating oil or WD40 on it and let it soak in. Then you can use a rubber mallet to hit the outer part of the tire or wheel and see if you can shock it off. Or kick the outer edge of the tire.
If that doesn't work, put the lug nut on backwards until they just touch the wheel. Then drive back and forth while slamming on the brakes to see if you can break it loose. I spent 1/2 hour on just one tire/wheel.
Before putting the tire back on, sand and grease the hub.
I have a 1998 Deville and both rear coil springs are broken.. It also has the air shocks that I dont think work.. Can I put regular shocks in and is there a after market coil spring out there for it ??
arnott.com sells replacement shocks, take one of your orginal springs and go to a spring frabrication shop they should be able to fabricate a new spring for you with a 2 to 4 inch lift
One of the irbags must be licking. My (02) was doing the same thing and I replace the shocks and problem ws resolved. However, my car looked a little low before the shocks were replace. These shocks are very easy to change and new ones cost me $240
