I have a 2000 Honda Accord with a single cd player/radio; I purchased a Honda Accord single cd/cassette player/radio to replace it but I am having difficulty getting the original one out of the dash. Any suggestions? I don't want to force anything and have something break on me. Don't like after market stuff or having to cut the dash, that's why I bought another Honda radio. I like everything to stay original but most of my music is on cassette and wanted the option to play both in the car! ;0)

Quite simple actually, the hardest part will be getting the face off the dash. Then after that there is just a few bolts and some wiring harnesses to be removed.

All you have to do to get the face off is remove the 2 screws from the bottom then the screw which is elaborately hidden behind the clock (Which just pops out with a flat head) and then the face will come off after disconnecting the wiring harness to the random buttons.

HOW TO REMOVE A STUCK CASSETTE TAPE -2006 SILVERADOE

First of all, it's a cassette...who cares!?! Secondly, you would have to disassemble the radio, maybe causing damage to other parts of the radio. There is a place in L.A. That can exchange your radio for a rebuilt factory and they will return your cassette...AER Technoligies. Look them up.

Remove radio cassette from dash of l996 passat?

Purchase a mid-1990s Chilton or Haynes service manual for your VW. Common tasks such as radio replacement covered. Transmission rebuild, not covered.
Unofficial versions of a Bentley manual 1995-1997 could be found, a little birdy told me.

I want to install a new radio but can't find the main plug because the factory stereo and cassette deck are two different units in two different spots.

They sell a kit to install the radio where the tape player is located. To access the wiring you will need to remove your gauge cluster surround and remove the radio.

I have a CD STUCK in my 2004 dodge Durango. How

1st try to hit the eject button multiple times in a row. If this doesn't work you have 3 options.
1= pull the radio unit, disassemble case, gingerly remove CD, and reassemble.
2=Go to dealer or repair shop and have them remove. If you have a warranty left, mopar should be able to help. Factory radios have been a problem with Mopar for years.
3= Go buy a new CD and forget about it

Steps to remove radio

  • Step 1:Disconnect the negative cable from the battery terminal. Position the cable to is doesn't come in contact with any metal parts.

  • Step 2:Pull out the ashtray and remove the two screws that connect the bezel around the radio. Pull off the climate control knobs and remove the two screws at the top of the bezel trim.

  • Step 3:Remove the trim and disconnecting any wires. Not all models will have connecting wires on the trim.

  • Step 4:Locate the two screws, one on each side of the Hyundai Santa Fe stereo, and pull the head unit out of the dash. Disconnect the wires behind the radio.

Navigation upgrade for 2007 9-3 Aero

You will have to have it programmed at a Saab dealer. It wouldn't hurt to remove the old EHU (radio) and see if you have different connectors. Remove the screw covers (4) carefully and remove the screws. Then it will come right out. I think there are different connectors which would mean you are screwed but I am not sure. Make sure you have the Nav. DVD.
