I have a 2001 Audi Avant that that surges, especially when stopped at a light. It threatens to stall unless I rev the rpms. Could this be related to oxygen sensors?

Normally o2sensors will not cause this type of run problem surging can be caused by vacume leak or idle control valve

No this is not related to O2 sensors usually this i srelated to the idle position sensor. it could also be a bad knock sensor on the transmition going bad. I would replace the idle sensor first as it will cost the least to get.

You have two problems. The surging is from a dirty throttle body and /or air filter. The selector light could be from a bad selector switch or internal transmission problems. Have the car scanned for codes.

1999 AUDI A6 avant 2.8L quattro. Car vibrates

This is a manual transmission? If so the clutch probably needs to be replaced. When you say "VIOLENTLY" what is going on, what is the road speed, what are the RPMs at? The more specific information the better. And this problem ONLY occurs between gear changes, right? The other times, everything is normal?

I just bought a 2001 explorer sport 2dr, 131,000km and all of a sudden when i was slowing down at a light, it got alittle jerky, then stalled out completly. Also i have only driven about 50km and i've gone...

i dont know why it stalled out but i do know if in park or neutural it has a limitor on it that will not let the rpms go to high and it feels like its missing but this is normal to keep the engine from reaving to high.
