Here is the only literature I could find to help you. It is located in the Hyundai Accent Owners Manual under "Do It Yourself Maintenance" The shop manual doesn't even list the headlamp bulb, let alone tell you how to change it. Apparently, it is so simple to change, that they did not feel the need to explain it much.

2012 Tacoma, replaced headlight bulbs and now the running lights/ tail lights don't work, brake lights & turn signals work fine. Ideas?

What did you replace the headlight bulbs with?
I you changed to L.E,D. you have to make sure that the bulbs are the right way round in the socket.
The L.E.D. bulbs only work if the ground side is grounded.
If the L.E.E.s are not working turn them in the socket and try again.
The other bulbs depend on the grounding of the main bulbs.

The brake/turn lights are on another circuit, not on the same as the main lights..

check the main earth wires. also take the bulbs out and put back in. or the connection for the bulbs, happens every now and them on most x5's over time. mine used to do it untill had to change the drivers side headlight when it was hit stopped coming up after it was changed the connection for the headlight the seal had gone and dame had gotten in and damaged the plug. as fare as i know its still fin sold the car a few years ago. the cost of repairs was just getting to high.

Headlight fault

You may have blown a fuse, check fuses first then before you try to replace the bulb again check for broken wires or the correct bulb

What bulb do I need to get my headlight working

Hi there:
I suggest go to the Vauxhall website, sign up for "My Vauxhall" (it's free) and you can then download a manual in pdf format. The earliest manual for an Astra is 2002, but the headlight bulb changing instructions will be the same, and should be on pages 212 onward.

If its the dipped headlight bulb then the bulb itself (H7 fitment) sits inside a brown L shaped bulb holder that twist fits into the lens. Just twist it anti clockwise and remove - disconnect the multi-plug connector from the bottom of the brown bulb holder first tho.

If however its the main beam bulb (HB3 fitment) then the bulb holder is actually part of the bulb and comes as 1 complete unit.

I trust from your description that its the dipped bulb thats gone. Once its light, have a look and see what u think

It really is straight forward and you shouldnt have any issues. If you manage it - then note how the bulb fits into the bulb holder and fit the new bulb in its place - dont touch the glass though so use the base to push it into position... refit, twist into position making sure the 3 tabs around the edge of the bulb holder are correctly seated and fit the electrical connection in place.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

Both my main headlights went out. Is it the lights, a fuse, or electrical?

Hi-

How does the fuse look? If it is the fuse, then other items would be out as well.

If there is a relay, it may have gone out and you just have to replace it.

If the lights have gone out, you will know because the halogen bulb will be dark on the inside of the glass. These both may have gone out at he exact same time. Low Probability, but possible as the car is 4 years old.
Hope this helps.

How do I change a headlight bulb in a S60 60

Bulb is an H7 55w - price depends on brand (Hella or Sylvania Silver Star much higher than standard Sylvania). To change, open hood and look for round plastic cover over back of headlight. It's about the diameter of a big orange. Turn to remove. Remove black plastic connector (2 wires) from the bulb BEFORE you remove the spring holding the bulb in. New bulb goes in with the small square tab pointing up. Don't touch the glass part of bulb with your hands - your body oil will cause it to fail sooner. Getting the spring back on can take some effort. Then reconnect wire. And be sure to put the plastic cover back on.
