If you have your owners manual, there is a section containing the capacities for all fluids. You may also simply check your fluid level, with a running motor and warm transmission. If the stick indicates add, start with a 1/4 quart and work your way up. Unless there is a problem with the trans, there is no real reason to ever add fluid unless your are flushing the transmission.

Slow in reverse, not much power

you will have to get the transmission flushed with new gasket and filter...if that doesnt work you will have to get it overhauled.

All of the tranamission fluid is coming out.

OK, i recommend taking a first hand look. slid under or raise the F150 and inspect the transmission pan. if its coming out form the sides of the pan, you will need to replace the pan gasket. Also, check the transmission filter for a tight fit. make sure the trans filter is not lose. this could be a leak spot if it's lose as well.

Please rate and god bless:)

All of the tranamission fluid is coming out in streams.

i did this on my 2000 f150 to replace the tail shaft bushing and seal (automatic transmission). there was nothing inside that housing to fall out other than tranny fluid. if you're going to replace the seal, i'd suggest replacing the bushing too. it's fairly cheap. when you get the tail shaft housing off, just take it to a tranny shop and have then take the old bushing/seal out the press the new ones in, they'll be less likely to damage the new bushing. hope this helps.
