2001 Impala, strong right to left vibration felt in the front end ONLY when accelerating, NOT felt through steering wheel NOT felt when coasting, or slowing down, strait or turning vehicle tracks fine but vibration occurs with accelerator input . both upper front engine mounts changed, tie rods changed. bearings changed any ideas?

check front end by starting car have someone rock steering back and forth look for any parts that is moving more than others. keep in mind high speed vibration can be tires, wheel bearing, trainning and mounts. have someone follow you and looking at tires for bearing if both drive tires are shaking look at training and steering. good luck

check your tyres sounds like buldging in the rubber replace immediately

were the motor & trans mounts checked?

sounds like your front end is worn out and yes tie rod ends are a common source of this problem along with out of balance tires and seperated tire cords, any tire store will inspect your car for free and give you an estimate to repair.

Yes it can but the dealer would have found it on the test drive if they test drove the vehicle. The only other causes for the vibration I can think of should have been found on inspection as well. Check your bushings and mounts for the sway bar and your tie rod ends as well.

Me too i think it a cv joint problem a cv joint got 3 rond bearing when turning each rond ball goes in a chanel it spin in there sometime that chanel get damaged a little hole appear and in occasion the ball get stuck in that hole and that your bad vibration i gave you example

bearings make growling noises and axles cv joints make a flutter vibration when accelerating or decelerating
