Could be two problems. A bad bearing in the motor and the resistor is open. The resistor is in the airstream in the blower case and the motor if not on the firewall should be under the passenger side dash. I will check on that.

Additionally, it could be your serpentine belt squealing due to excessive current draw from a bad heater motor. Make sure it's the blower.

Your blower speed resistor could be burned out for the lower speeds do to excessive current draw from a bad blower.

Blower motor is bad. Resistor controls speed. Motor is so worn out that it will only turn when set on high. Best to replace it before it burns out something else due to the high current draw.

The fuse for a 92 crown vic heater

blower is first (lots of test yes)
blower on HIGH must work
the users guide in the glove box lists all fuses. on most cars.
lost that, no PDF then so is a paper only book.
the causes are (not the repair)
1: blower dead. must work at least on HIGH speed. heard and felt.
2: engine not 180f to 200f temp. oops thermostat bad (engine)
3: heater core clogged, is side AF or out side AIR.
4: dampers called blend door is dead (stuck closed) making core above useless.
5: controls to blower or dampers dead.

Heater blower only works on high

Most likely the blower motor resistor or the fise for the low speeds. The high setting for the blower motor is on a separate circuit than the other lower settings.

Heater fan only blows on high speed

most likely the resister. Not very expensive part and should be easy to change out if you know where its located ( usually under the dash) You can buy a repair manual for your model at any parts store, and be sure to ask the parts guy if he knows where its located. he might just be able to save you the cost of the manual. Good luck with it.

Blower motor for heater only works on high....what do you think I need to change. Relay or Resistor.

If the heater only works on the high setting, your problem is the heater fan resistor, not the relay.

The heater fan on my 98 chevy silverado stopped working... worked on high at first but made a high pitched noise and stopped all together

Run 12V directly to the motor and see if it will run, if it dosent than the motor is bad, if it does than the resister is bad, the resister makes the blower run and also regulates the speeds for the blower, but chanses are if it was making a high pitch squeel before it quit the motor went out.

Subject: 2004 isuzu rodeo...my ac/heater blower is not working

The resistors are in circuit only on the lower fan speed settings.
On the highest speed setting, power is switched directly to the fan motor.
Check fan power supply fuses,
Check power is available to the fan when high speed selected.
If all above OK, apply power directly to the motor to verify fan motor runs- if it doesn't the motor may need replacement/repair.

Hi, sounds like your blower motor resistor needs to be replaced. If not the resistor, check the blower motor.

Heater only works on high setting

I'm assuming you mean the fan(blower) only works on high? If this is the case you have a bad blower motor resistor. It's easy to change. It'll be on the lower right of the blower box. Kind of behind the glove box.
