1997 Chevy Lumina, I replaced the passenger side power window motor due to the factory one failing, The person before me cut all the wires going to the motor and toggle switch in their attempts to fix / replace the motor, The new motor does work but I had to order and new switch and pig-tail plug for the switch because it is missing - the new pig-tail plug did not come with a wiring diagram and is not color coded. Only all white wires Can you help with a wiring diagram in order for me to wire in the new switch - pig-tail plug to the cut wires? Thanks. Stephen

There is a wiring harness on hinge side of passenger door correct, take a look at the wiring colors. Hope you can read it. At the window switch, the outside wire on either side is voltage or ground depending on which direction, up or down, reversing motor. You don't need the window switch for testing, you should be able to operate from driver door master switch. If you get the wires reversed, the only thing that will happen is, up will be down and down will be up, if that happens, reverse the wires. Just my opinion.
At the window switch, top middle wire is lockout, so only the driver can operate the windows.

SOURCE: 1990 chevy 350 distributor wiring diagram and firing order

The firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2.
The distributor rotates in a clockwise direction. The engine must be on the compression stroke on the #1 cylinder. Line up the timing marks. Remove the cap and the rotor should be pointing to approximately the 5 o'clock position.

Good Luck

SOURCE: how to factory wire fog lights on a 2000 ford

This is a common problem on 97-00 MY trucks, regardless of the trim level ( XL, XLT, Lariat ).

If you install the fog lamp fuse in the BJB ( aka Battery Junction Box, Engine Compartment fuse panel ) Fuse # 9 ( 15 A fuse ) and jumper the normally open contacts in the fog lamp relay socket ( see diagram below ) the fog lamps should illuminate ( to confirm what you have doing on ).
8491ddd.jpg
The problem usually is the main headlamp switch to the BJB is not in place ( this is the yellow wire from the main headlamp switch connector to the relay socket pin #1 ).
One easy route is to make an aux lighting relay & harness, or purchase one online. With this, you can cut the factory ends and attach them to the harness you purchased. There is an air inlet next to where the steering wheel column runs through the firewall. This would give you an easy route to the fog lamp switch. The fog lamp switch, you can buy the factory one, and change the yellow wire from the connector to your added relay, or just add a switch for this function.
This will give you an idea of what the DIY relay and harness would look like.

Hope this helps, more than confuses at this point

I found the answer here; it tells you exactly which wires to jump in order to get the driver's side window to raise:

Power window

Now you need a factory wiring diagram & do some testing

eg: voltage drop your way from the battery or back from the motor,
until you find the open in the circuit or failed component

You say you HAD the switch checked
Are those same people not capable of finding the issue?

Grounding problem with my power window motor on a 1997 chevy camero

Test the MASTER switch at the drivers side. It seems to be a "wiring problem with the Master switch. The master switch is the switch that controls ALL the cars windows.

The passenger window switch gets both power and ground from the master switch. You have replaced the passenger side switch and it still had the same result and if the wiring is good from the master switch to the passenger side switch, then the only thing left would be the power window master switch. Check all wiring of the Master switch. That's the only thing that's left to do.

Where is the Blower Motor Relay located on a 1997 Chevy Lumina

This is fuse #14. It is located directly above the fuse that is dead center in the fuse panel. The fuse panel is on the passenger side of the dashboard. You must open the passenger door in order to access this fuse panel. Good luck

03 Chevy Venture....Clarification Passenger Window stuck down.

It will be in the switch lift up the controls on both the drivers side and passenger side the wires going into the connection wiggle then and the button at the same time if you get any movement then you have a broken wire if not use a test light hook one wire to some metal and the other to the wires if their is any power the light will come on, if no light then you probably have a broken wire. The passenger side power comes from the drivers side control. When you open the doors you will see a large black set of wiring harness in the door going into the side under the dash that is the wiring harness for all the power windows and door locks, open it and test those wires for power.

Passenger window on 94 lumina van

If all the other windows work when the passenger window won't move (during the 5 min period), then the passenger side motor is bad. If the motor pulls too much amperage, the circuit breaker that is built into the motor will trip, until it cools down.
