My lexus 2000 rx300 started to leak water I find. It's only on the floor, water on the drivers side carpet ater it rains. Yesterday after a hard rain there was standing water on the floor. It seemed the only place wet. I soaked 4 large bath towels. Also getting a moldy smell. Where do I find help for this problem?

My Lexus RX300 the seals around the door had came loose. Put windshield glue all around the seal and the water stopped. My dad has an RX300 his did the same put glue around seal and it fixed water from coming in.

I am guessing that you recently had a windshield replaced. If so they didn't seal it well and it leaks in there. You can go to a glass shop and have it re-sealed or you can buy sealer at most automotive stores and do it yourself.

The other option is that it is leaking in through the air intake between your hood and the windshield. That is the air intake for your heating and air conditioning. There are drains in the line that can get clogged up. If that is the case the best option is to take it to a repair shop.

Check seal around the door, mine had came loose and that's where the water was coming in.

2012 Toyota RAV4 passenger floor wet after it rains. Leak stains on left side under glove compartment. Doesn't happen every time it rains. I just bought it this summer 2023, when it wasn't raining.

Question edited for clarity, add maker.
Question moved to model category.

Based on our research the RAV4s with wet floors are usually, but not always, clogged sunroof drains or drain outlets. Other RAV4 owners found that the body trim surrounding their windshield or even the fender panel had degraded and failed, allowing water to seep in during heavy rain.

Water leak driver floor board

A water leak under the dash could be the heater leaking near the glove box, or a windshield leak, or sometimes the drain tube for that area has gotten plugged up and needs to be cleared out. Most times a little blast of air pressure will do it.
Hope this helps.

Major water leak when it rains, water runs down driver side floor

Keep looking by covering area at hood etc and running water on the vehicle to locate where it is coming in---Windshield?

This is the best way if you cannot trace the stains from water to source.

Water leak on driver's side floor

It's either the driver's side door seal or the windshield leaking. Best bet is to be inside on a dry day and have someone run a garden hose over that side of the car. That will give you your answer.

Water leaking into 2005 Camry 6 cyl under carpet drivers side.

I think that I can help you. It sounds like your drain-tube is plugged up. Get in the passenger side, and pull the carpet back from under the glove box. Look for a black rubber pipe that goes from a black box, and pokes thru the firewall, on the passenger side. Remove the hose from the box, and have a container ready to catch water. If water comes out of the black box, your drain hose is plugged up. Clean out the clog, and you will be golden.

Wet floors on passenger side after it rains.

Is it possible the water is actually coming from the A/C evaporator case, whose DRAIN IS CLOGGED ? The water produced by the A/C then leaks out of the case, down under the carpeting, then depending how vehicle is parked, can flow to the rear floors and carpet. Hope this helps

Water leak on fwd and back passenger side after every rain storm

pull your carpet up near the leak area and look for muddy body seams. it is possible one of the factory body seams are leaking- possibly in the cowl(under wipers) area, especially if it leaks when the car is sitting. there will be dirt/mud around the seams that are leaking. also you can check door seals by running the car on HIGH DEFROST with all doors and windows closed. spray around with a 50/50 soapy water solution. obviously bubbles will form around your leak.
