To check the block, you can magna flux it or have the machine shop do this for you. Also, was the head a new or used head or reconditioned? Is it warped and in need of shaving?

Perhaps, the new head gasket is leaking, even though it has been replaced.
I know it's a lot of work to get the Honda head gaskets to work right.

If the only symptom is water in the exhaust, maybe try some Bar's Leaks Cylinder Head Gasket Repair. It worked in my 1997 Cadillac Deville Limousine which has a Northstar engine. I had a leaky cylinder after having the system flushed out. Cadillac recommends installing a leak sealant of some sort to help to stop leaks due to inherent imperfections in the head gasket and sealing surfaces.

Be sure to buy the Bar's Leaks Head Gasket Fix for about $30 to try to seal the cylinder head gasket leak. I bought mine from Advance Auto Parts but other auto parts retailers carry it.

It doesn't require draining the system to install it. Just poured it in the radiator and it worked on my Cadillac.

What to do when there no psi on cyl 4 to get the psi up agan"?"

There are at least three possible reasons for no psi in cyl No 4.
1. Burnt or damaged exhaust valve in that cylinder
FIX Remove head and replace faulty valve
2. Blown head gasket (water mixed with sump oil shows milky on dipstick and steam or water coming out of exhaust tailpipe, radiator water disappears )
FIX Remove head, grind flat and assemble with new gasket.
3. Broken piston rings, or cracked piston or burnt hole in piston.
FIX replace faulty parts.
Squirt some sump oil ( 2 or 3 spoonfuls ) through spark plug hole,
spin motor , and if compression PSI improves then it is rings or piston, if no PSI then it is faulty ex valve !!!

My 97 honda accord is blowing white smoke and running rough then i went to start it now it wont start

Sounds like either a blown motor (rings need replaced) or a bad head gasket or cracked head.
If the rings are bad your car would have felt like it was losing power because the engine will no longer have the same high compression that it's required to turn the wheels. You may have heard your engine knocking or seen a light blue colored smoke coming from your exhaust as a result of your engine burning up oil in the combustion chamber from the rings leaking.
If your head gasket is leaking or your head is cracked you'd likely find milky looking oil when you drain your oil from water/antifreeze being mixed in and noticed a white smoke coming from your exhaust that is actually water vapor coming through the exhaust.
If your car was running rough when you last shut it off try pulling all of your spark plugs and either cleaning them or replacing them all. A bad head gasket or bad rings can both foul spark plugs. A car will run rough with 1 or 2 fouled plugs, but once enough foul it will no longer run at all just sit and crank over. If changing the plugs get's it started for ya, check your tailpipe first for water, if nothing, change your oil. If no signs of water/antifreeze or milky colored oil then it's probably rings.

Toyota tazz 1300 problem. My toyota tazz 1999 is using a lot of water but has not started overheating people says it has started mixing oil with water. what could be the problem? Ajax

have you checked your oil by pulling the dipstick? does it look deep brown?if so. there is water or coolant present in engine!!do not run the engine.if you see brown sludge on the oil dipstick, there is a blown head gasket.if you open your radiator and you see oil floating in there, suggest a blown head gasket.if you have oil or antifreeze coming out of exhaust, you have a blown head gasket in the motor.oil mixing with the water is never a good thing motor wise. suggest you not run the engine until you get a pro. to see,or you run risk of loosing engine.hope this helps and thank you for choosing fixya.com we are here always to assist the people that want to know for sure,

When the temp is over 90 outside, air conditioner will only cool for short time, then will start to blow hot air and overheat. I have replaced the thermostat twice, water pump, radiator, sensor, and...

Any coolant loss is significant in any car. Having replaced all those components leaves only the gasket or head as possible suspects. The gasket can fail in an area that does not allow oil to mix with the coolant and the same applies to possible cracks in the heads or warping. Have the system pressure tested to see if it has leaks.

My 93 maxima got no power an smoke started to come out the tail end.

The best test is a compression test.
Blue smoke means it's burning oil, due to worn out piston rings.
White smoke means it's mixing antifreeze and oil due to a bad head gasket or cracked head or block.

Oil in overflow of radiator.

If you have coolant mixed in you oil you have blown a head gasket at the very least. You will have to pull the heads and replace the gasket.

I own a m reg 95 model civic. The car is overheating steam is coming out of the radiator. I tested the cooling fan and it does not seem to come on when the engine is hot. HELP!

I hate to say it but you might have blown a head gasket. Try this- in the morning/anytime, (cold engine) pop the hood and remove the radiator cap. Start the engine. If it bubbles/blows out antifreeze- yep, blown head gasket. Most people think you'll have water in your oil if you do have a blown head gasket. It can blow 2 ways. Exhaust gases into coolant passage (your case) or vise versa (hince the water/antifreeze in oil). Try that- lemme' know
