Aftermarket installation of remote central locking on 2006 Nissan Navara ST-R

I have brought an aftermarket remote central locking kit for our '06 Nissan Navara ST-R. It already has keyed central locking, and I am told that it isn't hard to fit the remote components when this is already installed. Now I have taken off the door trim, I am unsure where to go next though. I have a master actuator in the kit that I assume has to go somewhere in the door but I cannot figure out where?? Can anyone help me on this one???
Thanks, Shane

Doesn't matter, I have given up, the existing central locking components are completely different to that of the new kit, I think I will just have to put my tail between my legs and go genuine, getting a Nissan dealership to fit it for me.

TOP' AFTERMARKET CENTRAL LOCK.

The most common reason for a central locking to re-open on the lock button is the central locking has detected a door or the trunk isn't closed correctly. Open each door and the trunk to check there is nothing in the latch to 'trip' the unlock setting. Close the doors and trunk and retest the remote.
If this doesn't fix the issue have the wiring to the central locking check ed for loose connections or damaged wiring.

How do I find the security code for a Kenwood machine installed in a Nissan Navara

There a few hacks here. If it came with the vehicle, the dealership will give you the code based on the VIN number. If it was and aftermarket radio, you have to pay a radio code company and pay a fee. It is based on the radio serial number which is on a sticker on the rear.

I'm trying to install an aftermarket amplifier in my 2001 Nissan Frontier but i dont know where to put the REM wire. Can anyone help me with this?

REM wire connects to the REM wire at the back of the aftermarket head unit. REM stands for remote and is typically a blue wire. Hope this helps, if you need further assistance I would be happy to help you. Please feel free to contact me at:

Remote Central locking

There are many types of aftermarket modules, some doing a simple lock/unlock, others also activating horns, lights, alarms, etc.
So I'd suggest searching for "how to wire car locking module," then checking out the results (including many YouTube videos).
However, you'll probably install the unit inside the driver's door panel, because that door's exterior lock and interior lock button give orders to the locks in the other three doors.
Then, use a circuit tester to identify:
--one wire that is always hot, whether the engine is on or off. This will usually be colored. This wire should be connected (use a crimp-on connector) to the power supply for your aftermarket locking module.
--a black (usually) ground wire, that should be connected to the ground wire on the module.
--one or more trigger wires running from the lock switch on the door. There are different types of trigger setups and different ways to connect them, so there may be some trial and error involved. When you've got everything hooked up, though, make sure the "lock" button on your remote makes the doors lock (and vice versa for the unlock button). If the commands are reversed, simply swap the control connections.
--if your new module also has the capability of making your horn sound and your headlights and taillights flash ... well have fun. You'll have to figure out how to hook up the wiring on the module to the headlight and taillight circuits, which won't be obvious or easy. Personally, I'd skip that part and be happy with the remote lock/unlock.

Is there an after market airfilter that I can install?

There are lots of aftermarket filters available. Are you wanting an aftermarket direct replacement for the original filter? or are you wanting an aftermarket air filter modification kit? Both are available. I don't recommend using the modification kits however. These tend to mess with engine controls and cause all kinds of running problems and "Check Engine" nlights to come on.

Aftermarket direct replacement filters are available in several different brands including Wix, Purolator, STP, Fram, MicroGard, etc. - just call your localparts supplier.

I have a 1995 VX Landcruiser but only have a key and no remote locking device. The vehicle originally had remotes for the central locking. I've seen aftermarket units advertised that program in to the...

if they say they do,then okay, buy aftermarket remotes, you will need them to reset the alarm if it goes down when you disconnect the battery for any reason.....

I brought a central locking kit for a mark 4 golf 1.6 automatic and i need to know what wire's need cutting?

There is no need to cut wires, you just remove the old one by disconnecting the connectors. If you start cutting, you'll just destroy the wire harness and defeat the concept of connectors. Besides you don't have a diagram of the electrical system. Now if this is an aftermarket unit, all I can say is good luck trying to adopt that system to your immobilizer system (anti theft).

Just bought a 2003 Nissan Navara 2nd hand. Has central locking but no remotes were handed with it, how can i find out if this vehicle has remote central locking or not

The remote should be built into the key. If not the remote central locking would be after-market. After-market remote central locking is part of an anti theft device so the fob you get with the key's has two function's it opens the door and disables the imobliser. If it had a fob and it was'nt with the key's then the ignition would'nt work so the car would'nt start. So it dosent have remote locking. Before giving up check the dash and suround's for a small either green or red light which looks like it was installed after-market if their is one then it still may have remote locking but was disabled for some reason but although it is there unless you really need it don't bother with it because you will need to get it rewired then get a fob which will need to be programed. Hope this help's Cheer's
