Radio not working

Recently i tried to start my 1995 grand cherokee and as it got to the point where it was going to start i let off the key, and the battery shorted out. I replaced the battery and the two fuses that were blown, but for some reason the radio and the clock are both not functioning. all the other interior electronics work, the dash lights, the electronic locks, just not the radio or the clock.

more often then not the car starts up normally and performs fine but on occasion the engine does not crank but all interior electronics are on. a jump start usuaully solves this but iis not always available. i replaced the battery with a brand new on but can not diagnose the issue

VIC date & time has to be reset each time you turn on the ignition key. This is on a 1995 jeep grand Cherokee. This just started in the last week or so.

the memory fuse is blown.
cluster clock right?

the memory fuse is hot all time, if it is blown, or missing
the car will not remember lots.
new cars come with this pulled, for long term storage.
on 95 the radio has one too. for stations memory.

check all fuses first.

My 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee running lights do not work

Don't know if this will help but its how i fixed my 2001. Go to: http://www.2carpros.com/forum/2001-jeep-grand-cherokee-laredo-brake-lights-not-working-vt4814.html Tip: If you have a small piece of medal to put under the ground contact point then it will keep it raised in place, i used a really big staple from a staple gun to slide under mine I also replaced all the sockets that the bulbs go into cause mine were falling apart and may have been a part of the problem.

Everything in the center console not working! 1995 grand cheroke

Start by checking the fuses under the dash and under the hood. Could be a relay or a broken ground.

Cannot Reset 2004 Grand Cherokee Factory Radio

Double check fuses, in case one of the power wires touch something and blew a fuse. You'll have 2 power, one with & without key on.

Instrument Cluster Problem

I have a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee that had the same problems you describe.

I cured it by removing part of the dashboard and cleaning/checking all electrical connections.

Any black leads that connect to the metalwork .. they are earth wires. Check them for corrosion and as they are usually just held in place by a screw - undo that screw and retighten it. A 'bad earth' can cause the problems you describe.
