My 2006 pontiac soltice has only 50kms on it. I didn't use my car over the winter about 5 months and went to start it the battery was dead,I quess that can happen. I jumped it and took it out for a long...

Sure sounds like the battery. Probably not taking a charge. When you were driving it probably wasn't charging. Make sure you have really good connections on your jump start, that the car you are jumping from is running. You may have to accelerate the car you are jumping from. If you can get it started go to any of the auto parts stores, (advanced, auto zone, etc.) they will check it. They can also check to see if it is getting a charge. It probably has enough juice to run the electronics but not to turn the engine over. If not the battery they may able to indicate what may be the cause.

2007 dodge stratus battery

If you haven't already located the battery, it is in the fenderwell, in front of the drivers side front wheel. There are a few retainers on a plastic shield in that area, remove those. Then disconnect the negative (black) cable first, and then the positive. You will also notice that there is a hold down bracket for the battery. Remove the bracket and the battery will slide out.

NOTE: It is easiest to remove the battery with the left front wheel off. Make sure to have the car on jack stands before you remove the wheel.
