1) Check your car to see if it has oil and oil is at the recommended level. 2) Check if there is any leakage from the oil pan, or sign of oil be consumed 3) If everything looks good, you may need to replace your oil pump.

Oil pressure sensor, or most likely, oil level sensor, either sensors, wires, or connections.

Engine oil lamp some times blinks comes on and later when restart it does not come I have Kia Sorento 2009

The oil light will come on when ever pressure is low it ct can be as little as the oil pressure sensor is going out or you may have a blockage somewhere in the oil system try doing an oil change with mobile1 oil this may help if there is a small blockage but defiantly get the sensor checked first

2003 Hyndai Elantra oil light has started flickering, Why?

If it flickers at idle, it "might" be engine wear, especially if you are approaching 200,000 miles. It might also be a faulty oil pressure gauge sending unit which is a little more likely.

If I were you I would put an oil pressure gauge in place of the factory pressure sending unit, these can fail sometime when hot and cause false reading at the gauge, of the pressure seems ok replace the sender, oil viscosity can affect pressure readings but not to that extent, also check the simple things like your oil levels as these are commonly overlooked

A little light keeps goin on and off it looks like the oil can light but I just changed the oil? What should i do?

Check the oil pressure at the oil pressure sending unit (remove it first and install the oil pressure gauge).

If the oil pressure is below specs, the oil pump is worn out.

Replace the oil pump in the engine.

2000 Toyota 4runner oil light was blinking but now stays on. Oil is clean and full??? could it be a senor or the pump. The truck seems to be running good.

Oil sending unit. You can check this yourself with an oil pressure gauge. or send the job out to a repair shop. The thing you want to know is that your oil pump is putting out the correct pressure. The sending unit has a little filter in it that gets clogged or the unit itself goes bad. Have it checked out no biggie.

My engine oil light comes on every now and then in

The oil pressure sensor may be failing. I'd confirm this before driving; hate to see that it was the oil pump (these hardly fail though) Several things that could be done: go ahead and replace the sender unit or, what I'd recommend, remove the sending unit and get a pressure gauge on it to visually check the pressure. If the pressure shows to spec then you know its the sending unit and replace it. This approach will let you be most confident the pressure is in fact OK.
I hope this may have helped,
Tom

Oil light

Sounds like a sensor. you may have hit a good bump or something knocking the sensor for oil level or pressure loose, it may also just be dirty so you first have to locate it and i'll admit on a Audi I ahve no idea where it would be, But it seems like just a sensor

2006 Subaru Impreza. Oil warning light stays on dimly when starting from cold but fades as engine warms up to normal running temperature. I did an oil and filter change about 2 weeks ago. Oil level on...

No, just keep an eye on it to see it does not start staying on longer and longer. The oil pressure sensor my be a little off,and at worse the oil pump is a little weak. Just keep up on the oil changes.3500 miles max.
