Hi...
I have a trouble code in my car toyota camry 2002 se...the technician change the sensor and the fuel filler and the cap,but still the engine light flashes after 3 days...the trouble code is P0446...what will i do to solve this problem....
P0446 is an EVAP code.Charcoal canister vent control valve; commonly located under the trunk, at the canister.
I too bought a 1999 Chevy Prizm with a slew of codes PO 440,441 442.... Did the research and condemed the VSV. After searching for a good price on one I decided for a few dollars more, to replace the whole item. New canister, new VSV. Dropped the exhaust, took my time and was pretty happy. Light was off for 3 days and now have a PO446. Time for a smoke test? Thinking about the cut off valve at the top of the tank. any ideas? By the way, I got the whole canister system through Auto Zone for $200. Took it out of the Fed Ex box and was surprised at the original toyota parts. Also, the gas cap feels a bit funky when tightening it, guess I should replace it for a start.
