2001 pontiac grand am radio doesnt work and neither do turnsignals

My battery died and i replaced it. The car has about 62000 miles on it and no electrical problems in the past. The theftlock button is now on and when the turn signals are turned on, they make a beeeep noise and do not flash, although the do turn on like a lightswitch to a bulb, I dont have the code to the radio but i know it has something to do with the vin number and i can read that right off of the car, altough if i did have the code i wouldnt know what to do with it anyways. Any kind of advice or help would be greatly appreciated,

The radio can only be unlocked at a dealership. They use your VIN to unlock it. I had to do this with a friend's car when I installed a new stereo in her '01 Grand Am. Hope this helps.

If the battery was replaced you will need the code for the radio to get it working again.

Replaced the radio in my 2001 Pontiac Sunfire with a radio from a scrapped 2001 Grand Am. Radio says "locked". How do I get it to work?.

Because you have removed the radio from a power source it automatically goes into stolen mode making the radio useless when stolen. This mode is selected when you change the battery but in that case you would have access to the code to re-enter it. Talk with a radio tech and they may be able to say how to fix or where to go to get the code.

Fan not working

This is a typical problem on all the pontiac's I have replaced mine three times already and I only have 92,000 miles on my Grand Am Gt (2001). It will have to be replaced.
