Where is the fuel filter on the 1996cadillac deville?

yes remove fuel filter on tank side and turn on key. it will pump gas if pump is good

The Fuel Filter is located Under vehicle, driver side, below seating area, front of fuel tank, mounted on chassis in fuel line. The filter is fastened with pressure clips and you may need a fuel filter disconnect tool, available for about $5 at your favorite auto parts store, ask an associate before getting the tool.

Rear of the vehicle by the fuel tank...by the frame rail:



Disconnect the fuel feed pipe (1) at the in-line fuel filter and return pipe (2) near the in-line fuel filter



Squeeze the plastic tabs of male end connector of fuel filter

The fuel filter should be on the frame rail on the right side below the passengers door area.Just follow the fuel lines from the motor or the fuel tank.

wow...BIG problem...I'd say you have a bad ECM - maybe you hooked it up "hot"? otherwise, check all grounds for secure connections.

the fuel filter is located on the drivers side under neath where the rear seat would be connected to the frame. relieve fuel system pressure,disconnect negative terminal from the battery,raise rear of vehicleand support it securily on jackstands,detach fuel lines from the filter,some have quick connect . squeeze plastic tabs to pull the connector apart,if it has threaded fiting unscrew the fuel line from the filter.
