Hard starting in cold weather, turns over but does not start easily. Starts fine in warmer weather

check if the car have the thermostat in the cooling system, because in cold weather the thermostat close the water flow in the cooling system (radiator, head of the motor) and the car gets temperature faster to warm the engine to operational temperature.

Audi a8 4.2 quattro from cold perfect as it gets warmer starts hessitating if you go full throttle it missed hessites and drives awful

Do you have a check engine light? Even if not, I'd bet on the primary O2 sensors (the ones on each exhaust header closest to the engine, before the catalytic converter). They have to be warmed up to work. While the car is cold, they're ignored and the car runs on preprogrammed fueling maps. Once they warm up, they are used to control fuel delivery. If they're bad, the car will run very rich, which hurts power, kills fuel mileage, fouls spark plugs, etc. I'd suggest a pair of new primary O2 sensors, a new set of spark plugs, and doing a Seafoam treatment on the engine's vacuum system (go to www.audiforums.com and use the search feature to see how to do a Seafoam service - it's easy and helps a lot).
