When "FUSE" appears in the odometer, that is an indication that the battery feed is not being detected by the instrument cluster. There is a fuse that is pulled during vehicle shipment that prevents the battery from draining. If you look into the fuse box, one fuse should have a "handle", check it. If this fuse is not pushed in completely or is blown, the "FUSE" appears in the cluster. With this fuse out, the cluster will continue to function normally using the ignition input for power. However, some functions will not work when the ignition is turned off.

My 2005 dodge neon's battery won't hold a charge, lights flicker and dim and on the dashboard the word fuse flashes, what is going on?

Could be a bad battery but I suspect your battery cable is either loose or corroded or dirty. Before you pull the battery disconnect your battery cables and clean them both ends and when you put them back on make sure you have good connections and tighten good.If that does not work pull your battery and get it tested at a battery out let . they should do that for free.

My neon will not move!

Check the main fuse. It's typically a 80 to 120 amp fuse. It's also typically the largest one in the fuse box. It won't look like a normal fuse and also may bolt into the fuse box. Disconnect the battery before checking anything in the fuse box. If the fuse is good reconnect the battery cables and make sure everything is tight .

Dodge neon wont start, fuse indicator light on. We replaced the spark plugs but still wont go and the fuses look good.

check the fuse block out under the hood. the best way to check then is with a continuity tester. if it beeps its good. some times they are good but they are not seated good in the socket. Issues like this I always pull each fuse and test it then reseat it to make sure.

Help With 2004 Dodge Neon

Hi
Why not put the car back to standard and see if it cures all these problems.
Not all cars like hids, some have to be wired in with resistors

Won't start, clicks and says fuse

Hi,

When the dash display read 'fuse' it indicates that the Ignitition Off Draw fuse is not installed or is blown. The fuse is used when the car is in storage (or sitting on the car lot) so that you can disconnect all loads that would cause the battery to go dead over time. The odomoter displays fuse to remind the dealer to install it before delivering the car to the customer.

It is located in the fuse panel under the hood. It's easy to miss because it's in a small black plastic clip that you can pull up to disconnect the fuse, without removing it completely.

It should be labeled on the lid of the fuse box as IOD. It powers up the interior lights, along with the radio and a few other things. It most commonly get's blown during installation of aftermarket radios, etc.

Odometer flashing fuse

I had this happen to me last night. For some reason, the battery was dead. I hooked up a charger and got it started. The battery light came on and then went away after the car ran for a little while.

In my case, it flashed "fuse" and it was a dead battery.
