THANKS FOR THE HELP, BUT THERE IS ALSO A "SERVICE RIDE CONTROL MESSAGE COMMING IN THE DRV INFO SENTR (DIC)- IS IT RELATED?

  • Anonymous Jan 25, 2011

Most likely no unless your PCM or ECM are failing. It can cause other systems to malfunction. But that is probably a whole other issue.

2006 Ford 500 blows cooler air on driver side then passenger side

Probably a problem with the passenger temp blend door actuator . B2266 LH Blend Door Failure or Short Go To Pinpoint Test K . B2267 RH Blend Door Failure or Short Go To Pinpoint Test K .
Electronic Automatic Temperature Control Module On-Demand Self Test
The EATC Module On-Demand Self Test will retrieve on-demand (hard fault) DTCs only, it will not retrieve continuous DTCs. Continuous DTCs can be cleared when exiting the EATC Module On-Demand Self Test. Make sure to retrieve continuous DTCs by carrying out the Electronic Automatic Temperature Control Module - Retrieve Continuous DTCs procedure before clearing any continuous DTCs.
  • The EATC Module On-Demand Self Test will not detect concerns associated with data link messages like engine coolant temperature or vehicle speed signals. A diagnostic tool must be used to retrieve these concerns.
  • The EATC Module On-Demand Self Test will detect concerns in the system control functions and will display on-demand (hard fault) DTCs for concerns that are present during the self-test. The vehicle interior temperature should be between 4°C-38°C (40°F-100°F) when carrying out the self-test. If the temperatures are not within the specified ranges, false DTCs may be displayed.
  • The self-test can be initiated after cycling the ignition switch from OFF to ON. Normal operation of the climate control system stops when the self-test is activated.
  • To enter the self-test, press the OFF and DEFROST buttons simultaneously and release, then press the AUTO button within 2 seconds. The display will show a flashing blower icon for 20 seconds, after which all vacuum fluorescent segments will be displayed if there are no on-demand DTCs present. If DTCs are present, the EATC module will display "00 00" and then on-demand DTCs. Record all DTCs displayed.
  • If any DTCs appear during the self-test, carry out the diagnostic procedure. Refer to the Electronic Automatic Temperature Control Module Diagnostic Trouble Code Index and follow the ACTION for each DTC given.
  • If a condition exists, but no DTCs appear during the self-test, GO to Symptom Chart Condition: The EATC System Is Inoperative, Intermittent or Incorrect Operation.
  • To exit the self-test and retain all DTCs, press any button except DEFROST. The EATC module will exit the self-test and retain all DTCs.
  • To exit the self-test and clear all DTCs, press the DEFROST button. The EATC module will exit the self-test and all DTCs will be cleared.
  • Always exit the self-test before powering the system down (system turned OFF). Once the self-test is exited, the ignition switch must remain ON for at least 30 seconds to allow the door actuators to automatically recalibrate.
  • Continuous DTCs will be deleted after 80 ignition switch ON cycles after the intermittent fault occurs.
Electronic Automatic Temperature Control Module - Retrieve Continuous DTCs
The EATC module will retrieve only continuous (intermittent) DTCs when carrying out this procedure.
  • Retrieval of continuous DTCs can be initiated after cycling the ignition switch from OFF to ON. Normal operation of the climate control system stops when retrieving continuous DTCs.
  • To retrieve continuous DTCs, press the OFF and DEFROST buttons simultaneously and release, then press the RECIRC button within 2 seconds. All vacuum fluorescent segments will be displayed if there are no continuous DTCs present. Continuous DTCs are indicated by the presence of the Celsius symbol (°C) on the EATC module display. Record all DTCs displayed.
  • If any DTCs appear, carry out the diagnostic procedure. Refer to the Electronic Automatic Temperature Control Module Diagnostic Trouble Code Index and follow the ACTION for each DTC given.
  • If a condition exists but no DTCs appear, GO to Symptom Chart Condition: The EATC System Is Inoperative, Intermittent or Incorrect Operation.
  • To exit and retain all continuous DTCs, press any button except DEFROST. The EATC module will exit the retrieved continuous DTCs mode and retain all continuous DTCs.
  • To exit and clear all continuous DTCs, press the DEFROST button. The EATC module will exit the retrieve continuous DTCs mode and all continuous DTCs will be cleared.
  • Always exit the procedure before powering the system down (system turned OFF). Once the procedure is exited, the ignition switch must remain ON for at least 30 seconds to allow the door actuators to automatically recalibrate.
  • Continuous DTCs will be deleted after 80 ignition switch ON cycles after the intermittent fault occurs.

Having problems with climate control. Temp setting does not come back on to the last setting it always comes back on at 75. Also when pushing the front defrost it doesn't blow air.

You may want to have it check for DTC'S diagnostic trouble codes . A code may point to the problem , these HVAC systems are very complex .
DTC B0248, B0268, B0408, B0418, B0428, or B3531
The HVAC door actuator is an electronic motor with a feedback potentiometer. The HVAC control module supplies power and ground to the actuator. The HVAC control module controls the direction of the actuator by changing the polarity of the control circuit. When the actuator reaches the desired position, voltage is removed from the control circuit. The HVAC control module determines the current position of the actuator by monitoring the feedback voltage of the door position signal circuit. The feedback potentiometer position is a function of the actuator position.
• Air flow control 3 circuit refers to the front mode actuator
• Air flow control 7 circuit refers to the recirc actuator.
• Temperature control 1 circuit refers to the driver air temperature actuator
• Temperature control 2 circuit refers to the passenger air temperature actuator
• Temperature control 3 circuit refers to the rear air temperature actuator
• Air flow control 10 circuit refers to the rear mode actuator

In my 2002 cadillac deville my tc light always on my gas and temperature gauges stop working how can I fix thi s can I reset my dash panel

You can try resetting any vehicle error codes (DTCs) with a code scanner. Depending on which instrument panel (IPC) you have, you may be able to put your IPC in diagnostic mode and reset any DTCs from there. Simultaneously hold the top of the Info button and the On/Off buttons for several seconds to go to diagnostic mode; then use these buttons to navigate the options showing on the IPC. Before resetting the DTCs, make sure you record the DTCs - you can look them up on the internet. If resetting doesn't solve your problem, the IPC is probably toast.

I have electronic controls for the heater, A/C and

You can try removing the panel connectors, resetting it and running the calibration test.

Open the ashtray, and pull on each lower cover of the center trim panel. This is held on with spring clips, 3 on each side ( black circles in the picture below ). When you get to the top, be careful, the Passenger Side Airbag Deactivation lamp is on the center trim panel and has small wires ( green circle ).
The blue circles are the cam over connectors on the HVAC control panel, pivot the bail out, and the connector wil unplug itself. Reattach and run the self test calibrate ( if it will take it ) listed below the picture.

My 99 cadillac diville message stater disabled

If you have a key with a resister in it , it may be the ignition cylinder itself. If you do not have a resister in your key , you should check for bad body grounds along the fenders and firewall. You can also try disconnecting the battery negative cable for 20 secs. and retry.
