Check for proper oil level in engine with dipstick if ok.then install mechanical oil pressure gauge on oil pressure sending unit to verify proper oil pressure, if pressure ok. then replace the sending unit/sensor, if pressure not ok. , you may need to remove engine oil pan to check for restriction on oil pick-up tube screen. if ok replace pump. but also check clearance on mains and connecting rods.

A flashing light is bad and is a warning that you have a serious problem-you oil is dangerously low, put oil in to the full level before you drive it again.

Ive got a honda accord ,both keys are on the same key ring and if i put the key in the ignition the green key light kn the dash starts to flash, both keys do the same

What shape is the light? Where on the dash? Check your owners manual to see exactly which light on the dash that is. It may be an oil change lamp reminding you to have your regular service done. The dealer or a good Honda mechanic can reset that light after they change your oil.

How to turn change oil light

iI you mean 'how to turn change oil light off" go to fuse panel. Open drivers door there is a panel cover on the side of dash board, remove cover there is a red RESET button that resets oil pressure and tire pressure. Turn the ignition key to the on position but don't start the car. Now press and release the reset button the change oil light should start to flash, now press and hold the reset button until you hear chimming hold until chimming stops then release, the change oil light should go off. If you need to reset tire pressure press reset button twice, the first push will make the change oil light flash the second press will make the tire pressure light flash then hold untill chimming stops, light should go out . Hope this helps.

Need clear oil and tire codes lights on the dash are on

1st you need to look on the drivers side , end of dash between door there is a fuse box,, there should be a red reset button inside, with the key on every time you push it first the tire light will flash, the next time you push it the change oil light will flash, so you keep pushing it to what you want to reset and hold it in , you will hear several beeps,,, it will be reset

VW Golf Mk4 1.4 16v Oil Light Warning on Dash

Measure your oil at normal operating temp, without the engine running of course. This will give you a more accurate reading once the oil has circulated in the system.

The system works like this:
  • With the ignition on, the oil pressure indicator light on the dash should come on and flash. Once the engine is started, the light should go out and stay out as long as the engine is running.
  • If the oil pressure drops below approximately 0.3 bar or 5 psi when the engine is running below 2000 rpm, the light will flash.
  • If the oil pressure drops below approximately 1.8 bar or 27 psi when the engine is running above 2000 rpm for more than 3 seconds, the indicator light will flash and the buzzer will sound.
If either this two warnings occur:
  • The engine should be switched off immediately and the oil level should be checked.

Oil light flashing

hi,
The most likely cause is a faulty oil pressure switch as there are up to 3 fitted get it checked ASAP could be low oil pressure!!
I take it this is the oil light flashing not "oil" in the dash insert ?

Red oil light flashing, oil change no problem but light still flashing noise coming from tappets are they related I have a problem on my vw jetta ? flashing light on my dash

Yes it is related, don't drive it. First thing you should do is install a new oil filter even if it isn't time for an oil change.
