I have a 2001 Mustang Saleen that I just rebuilt motor, made all connection. Also replaced original Alarm harness with new one because old one was bad, made sure all connection were identical but now can't get car to turn over. I here power going to starter and lights on dash come on but car will not start. Alarm locks and unlocks doors but the LED light for alarm will not come on & kill switch does nothing. Can someone help me out with a solution?

Check to make sure you have power to starter with multimeter at starter. If there is, replace starter. If not, trace ignition circuit back from starter.

SOURCE: alarm remote

There should be a alarm by-pass (red button under the dash) located on the drivers side above the brake or clutch (if equipted) peddle. Opening the door (as you probably already found out) will set the alarm off, so it's a good idea to let you neibours know what you are doing so the police are not called on you. Once pressing that button, the alarm and the ignition lockouts will be off and will need to be reset before you can arm it again.

SOURCE: Explorer alarm going off randomly; additional electrical isues

Open drivers door and look at the hinge area. You will see a black rubber accordion looking tube going from the door to the a-pillar. This is the protector for the wiring harness. Wiggle it and see if this recreates your concern. If it does then pop it loose at both ends so you can inspect the wiring.Check each one carefully, feel them and tug on them. You will be looking for one that the wire inside the wiring insulation has broken, the two wires to really look at closley are the YE/BK and BK .
It may also possibly be a door ajar switch sticking and for this take some WD40 and shoot some in each latch on the side of the door and open and close the door several times and this usually un-sticks it.

SOURCE: I have an aftermarket Ford remote start on my 2005

First thing is to identify the alarm system, I.E.- who made it and what model it is? (like Viper, Automate, etc...)
Contact the aftermarket alarm manufacturer or the person that installed the alarm (if you had/know who installed the alarm system). Most major system have a phone number and a list of qualified installers for their systems. They will be able to direct you to a shop that can service the system. If your vehicle won't start, you may have to have it towed to the location to diagnose and correct the problem.

Gd evening everyone I have a 03 camry 2.4 engine u just recently got the motor in i unplug the harness b4 i took the old motor out took the old motor out put the new one in the same way know the fuel pump...

Ok firstly even though it is a 2.4 motor and same year there are several variants on the theme you must make sure all the connectors match and wire colours match as some of these motors especially the top end and sports motors look the same but the wiring is not the same as to the harness you need to make sure they are not crossed or miss matched in connections to the harness one out of line will cause what you are experiencing.... Having said that and assuming everything matches perfectly and you not getting power coming from the blue wire is simply there is a break in the line somewhere... This could easily have happened on disconnection. One has to be careful not to stretch crimp or bend the harness wire connector ends as it will damage and looks like this is the case... so if you have checked the blue wire correctly and there is no reading on the amp meter testing the line then it is a break in the connection somewhere in the line... so did u take very good careful attitude when you disconnected the harness . Reason it is all taped and over the years of age the harness hardens so two do the coloured wires and especially near the connectors... so to me reading your notes then the blue wire has a break in it or the connection end has some dirt or other blockage which is a simple fix try an electrical connection spray first but for me it is a broken wire inside the blue wire sheilding

Factory alarm for 2001 cabrio, is it part of the radio?

No, it is not part of the radio unit proper. I have been driving my car since it was 3 days old without the factory radio. I could not tell you where the alarm is located, & I would not cut any of the original wires that lead to the radio to the harness, those might have something to do with the alarm, Vw tends to wire things funny

I bought a 68 Mustang , the engine does not turn, what is the problem, and what could be the solution??

any number of things can be wrong with a 42 year old motor. it would be odd that it worked at all unless it received TLC the whole time. remedy is to find a rebuilt engine and swap it for yours.

94 ford tbird rebuilt engine wiring harness plug too small

If the rebuilt motor is a twin of the original, use the original wire harness. Why would the motor have a harness on it?You usually keep everything, including your intake system and just get the long block.

1964 1/2 mustang beinig rebuilt. A new 302 engine

That's because the 302 and the 260 don't share the same accessory bolt patterns. If it's a dealer installed AC the mounting may be "custom". If you still have the original engine, transfer the bolt hole positions, drill and tap. Good luck. Measure twice!

My RPM gage on my mustang saleen isn t working

the tach uses the same fuse as the other gauges, so if the other gauges have no problem then the tach is defective, Ford does not really repair these we just replace them.

Top on my 2001 mustang wont go up

Mine wouldn't go up for a while and it was because I had a bad switch. Also check the motor and the wiring harness. It might go down because the connections are good but the opposite might be because the connections aren't good.

It should just screw off. My 2002 Saleen had a universal MOMO shifter than damaged the threads of the shifter, I hope thats not how yours is.
