I own a 2005 chevy aveo. The car had been sitting out the majority of the day not being used and the temp outside was minus 23. I went to start my car and the key turned properly but nothing happened, no clicking noise no revving.... nothing. So I turned my wheel a bit and tried to start it and nothing happened. The problem is I turned the wheel again after that a little too hard and it put my car into LOCK. I was able to remove my keys just fine but now its in lock mode and i dont know how to get it out. My car alarm still works fine and the lights come on so im pretty sure its not a battery problem but we did charge the car just in case. How do i get the ignition outta lock mode?

So my understanding is you turned wheel and locked wheel and now cannot turn key ? need to turn the wheel some to remove the pressure off the lock and then turn key while holding wheel.

2005 Chevrolet Aveo. I need electrics diagrams please.

Question edited for clarity.

Wiring diagrams for free are only given in small blocks for parts like radio, or ignition. A service manual will give you the full wiring diagram, or you can use Google to specify an area.

Car smoking after sitting for several hours

First thing I need to know is where you are seeing the smoke.
Under the hood, out the exhaust pipe, or from underneath the car ??

2005 chevy aveo brake light comes on when i shift... why?

your brake fluid is low. I have a 2005 aveo that i took to dealer under warranty and told them the clutch didn't feel right and the brake light kept coming on. they told me they have not seen either issue i complained about charged me 700 dollars in labor and rental fees and sent me on my way. I then proceeded to take it to the used car dealership i bought it from and they bled the clutch and said they got alot of air out when chevy told me they didnt get any. Anyway about 3 weeks later the light was on steady and the clutch began acting funny again. I bled the clutch myself this time and didnt check the fluid level or i would have caught the next dangerous part. On the 2005 chevy aveo hatch back i have with a 1.6 5 speed shares one reservoir for brake and clutch fluid. I was driving along one day down a 12% grade about 2 mile long stretch and my brakes failed. I filled the brake fluid reservoir at first chance i got considering my arm was sore from operating the hand brake for 6 miles or so. the light went out. It will probably come back on as did mine. the leak in my system was a check valve under the brake master cylinder. be careful until you get to fixing it.

2005 aveo won't start after sitting

battery may be shot, take it to a local parts store for free testing. if it's not that then it may be a charging issue or a short somewhere.
