sounds like a blown head gasket or your engines locked up

Make sure the cable you are using for the connection is the actual branded device cable. It may look the same, but it may be proprietory.

I suggest you try one of those
instant download manuals. My brother( a mechanic) buys when he can't fix some technical issue with the manual at www.reliable-store.com . A lot of mechanics actually do this. Website is very good for this. Must try it !!

You can but the dealer will still have to initialize it to work with your car.

You can go to Ford give them your vin# and tire size and a mechanic should be able to figure out what pick up,sensor or gear you need to make it accuracte. The easy and quick way is to buy a GPS unit and it reads your true speed.That is how we use to check speedo calibration. Mount the GPS and use it for the speedo. Most Fords are about 3 MPH off from the factory anyway.

When you start driving with it as your help the map turns on the screen in the direction you are driving. The"talking" one tell you where to go.

The simple answer is that you can't. The system only allows upgrades and will not allow reversion to earlier software. I know that this has caught out some owners who have borrowed updated mapping discs to try them out and then found that they're effectively committed to buying their own set.

In part it's to ensure that the user always benefits from the latest mapping, but it's also reasonable to suspect that it's a revenue protection measure to prevent a market being established in the supply of obsolete or copied mapping software.

Sorry, but your only fix is to either buy a standalone GPS device which will usually be cheaper and more capable than Honda's own or to continue to use the latest maps on your Honda.

I had the same problem. I had to have the dealer reload the GPS software once I got back to the states. It took two tries, but once actual GPS software was updated with the U.S. software version it worked find.
