Could be the thermostat, air lock in the system or head gasket

  • Anonymous Feb 08, 2011

there could be a few reasons!
1)Start with the expansion tank( make sure that the water system is bled properly and there is no airlocks in the system and DON'T FORGET THE ANTI FREEZE!!
2)The thermostat housing , this is normally a problem on the M54 engine!
3)In general have a look at the cooling system for signs of a leak, heater hoses, supply and return radiator hoses and under the intake manifold.
4)if the engine has over heated to the point that it would not star or stopped running ! well then you would not be looking at all of these things and should pull the motor and look at the damage from a better angle and possible replacement?

Where to locate my fuel pump relay on my 2006 bmw 530i

Well I can't be sure here but I would look in the fuse panel under the hood most vehicles have several relays in the fuse panel and this includes horn, fuelpump, wipers, and sometimes HVAC blower motor. (box) there's a cover that snaps on over it. Hope this helps.

2006 bmw 530i horn wont work , window wont let down and wipers wont turn off

Not my expertise, but if the battery has been replaced you will have to go to a dealer. Then your car talks to Stutgart or Nurenburg and speaks some binary language. The dealer will charge to a crazy fee and it will work until you need another battery.
You can avoid this nonsense by purchasing an adaptor that plugs in the cigarette (oh my gosh xxxx) lighter and uses a 9v battery.
If it is the same old battery, I just wasted 5 minutes of your time.

2006 BMW 530i with a slow/small oil leak.

Common oil leaking areas on that engine is the plastic lid on the oil filter, and the gasket in between the oil filter adapter and the engine block.I would suggest you take it to a qualified shop and have them diagnose the oil leak.
