Location of turn signal relay for a 2001 ford expolrer

Check fuses 1 and 13. Look at the rear for wires where the insulation has been worn through.

It doesn't have one the turn signals are activated by a computer.

Could be one of blower motor relays contacts stuck closed . There are two blower motor relays 1 & 2 . One is located in the under hood fuse/relay box .
Or if your explore has automatic HVAC , it could be the front blower motor speed controller , this have been known to do this .
Which HVAC does your explorer have , manual or electronic automatic control.

LOCATION OF THE TURN SIGNAL RELAY? - Fixya

The relays for turn signals and hazard lights are under the dash to the right of the steering column.

The flasher unit is located to the right of the steering column under the instrument panel

both front and rear .try turning on your 4 way flasher and see if all are blinking the same
brightness if not you may have a bulb in 180 degrees turn and correct.if that is all ok you may have a turn signal switch at fault.

2001 Ford Truck F250 Super Duty P/U 4WD 5.4L EFI 8cyl the Flasher is located front seating area, driver side, behind left hand side of instrument panel, on fuse panel. Check the FUSE PANEL...

see if hazards lights work..if they do it could be the multi function switch that operates the turn signals..the fancy name for the stalk...
