1995 Ford Ranger ( engine light ) and stuff need help plz

Ok i got a 1995 ford ranger 2.3L got 140k mile in it...


and my check engine light come on... and the ranger got a obd 2 in it...so i use my obd2 reader...but my reader only read 1996 or up! so what should i do? is my ranger have obd2 or obd1?

since the reader dont have 95 ranger..so i choose the 96 ranger....its come out with a code" p1443" so how can i fix it? anyone know?

If your obd2 scanner fits the connection you have obd2, obd1 connector is way differnt.

failure occurs when a
leak or blockage
between the intake
manifold, the EVAP

Check for audible vacuum
noise in the engine

Inside lights what fuse runs it
Keith, 1995 ford ranger, looks like interior light fuse is # 27, 10 amp. in interior fuse box panel and module #3 in under hood fuse/relay. Pg. 308 to 315 in the attached manual show fuse locations for all. Check the attached links,instruction and guides, Good luck

The ford ranger has less problems,and is easier to work on,and easy to diagnose ,when it does have problems,but for the most part the ranger ,all the way.Ranger does not have a lot of power,but is a very good truck.

no it should have 12v i would have thought,but to be truthful i dont have a lot of experiance with this american type of vehicle ,land rover with levers yes ,double diff in a 8 wheeler yes ,12 speed foden gearbox yes.Would need to get my dirty mits under the bonnet to to sort it out .Sorry i couldnt be of any more help with a quick bang here or a thump their us brits would rather have a ford transit van diesel .with manual box and power steering .Now that a real mans tool ,ideal for carrying stuff

2001 Ford Ranger V6 timing chain
Hello;
The Ford motors are pretty good. I had 280K on a 2.9 V-8 that only needed the oil changed every 3K. Unless you have fluctuatuation in the timing then you should be ok.
These engines use a chain rather than a belt and have excellent life.
