The ticking noise could be a faulty hydrulic valve lifter. When last was the oil & filter changed, it coul be that the oil is thick and not going through to the lifters and when it warms up the oil is thin. It could be that the engine is need of an overhaul as 148.000 miles is 238.182 Kilometers and that is a hi milage.
Does the engine crank okay when warm and you try to restart? If you give it a little bit of gas when warm will it start? My guess if there are no check engine lights on would be a failing gas pressure regulator.
The choke function is not working on a cold engine. 1 clean throttle body and IAC motor air pathways. 2. Check for engine codes, you are looking for a code that relatws to the wngine temperature sensor.
If the van is running normally otherwise then it may be a bad oil pressure sensor or more likely an idle control sensor. This could potentially be a DIY (trial and error) for someone comfortable with working on cars, but I would take it to a shop ( or a dealer that youn trust) and tell them to check out the sensors. Good luck!
The oil pressure switch is located on the engine block, just above and towards the drivers side of the oil filter. You should take this to a shop and have them check the oil pressure just to be safe.
The oil pump may be going out - the light indicates the pressure is below the proper level and when you step on the gas it spins faster/raises the pressure back up to an acceptable level.
This is something to get checked RIGHT AWAY, as these cars have a history of engine failure....possibly due to low oil pressure.
