Hallo! My car is an Hyundai Accent 1,5CRDi - 2007 / 81KW- unfortunately without ABS & EBD(Turkey-0068 series, with manual transmission ; compactclass-1260Kg without driver, that mean (with driver 80Kg):890Kg front train - 450Kg rear train .Dimmension of tyre 185/65 R14 H Pirelli P6000/2,1bar, in standard.) In this case,I need to improve a more efficient rear brake (drum & shoe brake) solution. To fix this issue I looking for a pair of proportioning valves hwo works directly on the master cilinder of CBS.The proportion (front/rear) brake distribution efficiency must be 60/40.The producer of my car (Hyundai) specify in the workshop manual an distribution like this: at min.pressure 35Kg/cm2 front - 30Kg/cm2 rear , and for a max.pressure 70Kg/cm2 front - 48Kg/cm2 rear. Thank's for your help!
P.S. I've changed (last week) the proportioning valves (genuine Hyundai parts 58775-1G000) in an authorize Hyundai service, but the problem persist ! Notify me, please, at : [email protected]
Remove the front brake tube (B) and rear brake tube (C) from the master cylinder (A).
2.
Connect two pressure gauges (D); one to the output valve of the front (B) and rear (C) brake.
Be sure to bleed the system after connecting the pressure gauges.
3.
With the brake applied, measure the front pressure and the rear pressure. If the measured pressures are within the specified range as illustrated, the proportioning valve is good.
4.
Reconnect the brake lines in their original positions and bleed the brake system.

ABS means your brakes may not stop your car properly at high speeds and make the car wiggle and swerve.
I don't know what the code means but if I was you I have the brakes checked.
read more about the anti-lock brakes here, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-lock_braking_system
A larger four-wheel disc brake system was standard, and a new optional antilock brake system (ABS Plus) was designed to increase effectiveness in turns by controlling yaw in full and partical siutations. ABS Plus included Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), a new technology that automatically distributes braking forces between the front and rear axles, depending on how they can best be used, regardless of road surface. EBD replaced hydraulic proportioning valves and worked even when the tires had full traction, unlike most system
Many audi and vw models manufactured starting in the later '90s and
continuing to present, use the bosch 5.3 abs controller, which is prone
to catastrophic failure, ostensibly due to defective design. this
module controls multiple brake-related functions including the abs which
is important for winter driving, but the most critical function of this
module is probably the electronic brake force distribution, or ebd.
these vehicles are designed such that if the ebd is inoperative, the
proportion of hydraulic force applied to the rear brakes during
emergency braking is as great as it is during moderate braking effort
when there is minimal transfer of vehicle weight to the front wheels.
the ebd is supposed to adjust the front/rear braking distribution
dynamically according to the measure of the deceleration, so that the
rear wheels will not lock up during emergency braking. if this module
should fail during emergency braking on dry pavement, the rear wheels
could lock up and cause an accident which could easily include
fatalities. this is an expensive repair for owners, costing roughly
$2000, and many owners have probably put off the repair indefinitely.
evidence which can be found through a simple web search, suggests that
the problem is widespread, and that if it has not already led to serious
accidents, it is only a question of time. this problem is genuine, and
vw/audi should be compelled to take immediate corrective action.
No one mentioned how to turn off the ABS completely ..I am interested in this too, is there a way as my ABS box is causing a problem, just had a faulty sensor replaced by Renault .... ABS activating just before I stop, I have checked the ABS sensors and ABS rings, they are ok.
Hi, The 2007 Hyundai Accent is under a recall for the brake light switch since it has a tendency to fail. The brake light switch is high up on the brake pedal and it has a plunger on it. The plunger releases when you step on the brake pedal and retracts when you release the pedal. Recall Information can be found at: http://www.internetautoguide.com/10-12-2007-33-267/2007-hyundai-accent-recalls.html
Please remember to rate this solution. Thanks and Good Luck!
When the ABS light is on that tells you that the ABS is not working. Start with the easy stuff, first check the fuse, then check the plug at each wheel. Every time this has happened on one of my cars it has been a plug. The brakes will still work normally you just won't have the anti lock feature.
