    To install:

    NOTE

Do not use metal scrapers, wire brushes, power abrasive discs or
any other abrasive means to clean the sealing surfaces. These tools
cause scratches and gouges which can cause leak paths. Use a plastic
scraping tool to clean these surfaces.

Clean and inspect all sealing surfaces.

Position the intake manifold gaskets and the intake manifold.

        Loosely install the nine bolts.

        Install the thermostat.

        Install a new O-ring seal.

        NOTE

The thermostat housing bolts are tightened in sequence with the intake manifold bolts.

Loosely install the thermostat housing and bolts.

Tighten the bolts in two steps, in the sequence shown.

Step 1: Tighten to 2 Nm (18 inch lbs.).

Step 2: Tighten to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).

Install the eight ignition coils and bolts.

Connect the eight fuel injector electrical connectors.

Connect the eight ignition coil electrical connectors.

Install the PCV hose and valve.

Install the new throttle body adapter gasket.

Install the throttle body and adapter assembly.

Install the exhaust manifold-to-EGR valve tube and tighten the fitting in two steps.

            Hand-tighten the fittings.

Tighten the fittings to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).

Connect the differential pressure EGR sensor hoses to the EGR valve tube.

Connect the brake booster and the main engine vacuum harnesses.

        Connect the IAC electrical connector.

        Connect the EGR vacuum hose.

Connect the EGR vacuum regulator solenoid connections.

Connect the fuel pressure sensor vacuum hose and electrical connector.

Connect the IAC fresh air hose.

If equipped, connect the auxiliary heater hoses.

Connect the fuel hose spring lock couplings.

        Install the accelerator cable bracket.

Install the transmission fluid filler tube bracket and bolt.

Install the alternator upper support bracket.

Install the accelerator cable routing bracket.

Install the differential pressure feedback EGR system bracket.

I've replaced several of these gasets and they were made that way.
It wouldn't hurt to call a different autoparts store and ask them if theirs are made that way.

SOURCE: I need to drain the

Not 100% sure but if you look up under exhaust manifold area, on block,is usually a common place. Simple hex head plug into block on most. Are you sure just pulling lower rad hose, and thermostat housing off won't get you where you need to be?

Need to find a plastic Upper Intake Manifold for a 2001 Mazda Tribute 3.0L 6cy. Mine has a crack. A part number or a autoparts web site where I could order one from would be great. I've had no success...

The 3.0L Mazda should be the same as the Escape.
I found this website for Ford OEM parts (It's probably a Ford dealer);
https://www.silverstatefordparts.com/ford-escape-parts.html

Look under Intake Manifold:
Fuel system Cruise control Fuel induction Fuel injection Intake Intake manifold Manifold gasket

Intake manifold, escape, mariner, 3.0l, upper
01-04 ($214.98 List) $151.95
plus tax and shipping.
Don't forget the gaskets.

Sir, My ford windstar 1998 give me the code P0174,sytem too lean(bank2), can you tell me what the problem is , it gives a heavy white smoke when i start the engine . just put a new cylinder head gasket...

It's an intake gasket. Another option, however rare is the air flow meter. But not likely. The white smoke is most likely antifreeze leaking into either a cylinder, or the intake and entering a cylinder, exiting as white smoke. The bad intake gasket (or intake manifold) could be causing both problems. I'd try a new set of gaskets and just the upper half of the intake manifold.

Where is the starter located on a 2001 cadillac

The starter is located under the intake manifold. Remove the intake manifold and all necessary components to access it.It is advisable that while replacing the starter also replace all the gaskets with new gaskets .This helps.
Thanks. you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

Is your ignition coil good ? Could have replaced that when you had it apart for intake gaskets. Had to do the same to mine. No issues anymore.
