My 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan's speedometer stopped working today. The tachometer also winds out to 3000 rpm and I cannot tell if the transmission if shifting. Is my transmission going out? Is it safe to drive short distance (like to a repair shop!)
No upshift and no speedometer means the output speed sensor is bad on the tranny
The tramission is not shifting its the output sensor on trasm that broken drive slowly the shop gonna pass the scanner on the trasm it should be the input and output sensor not a rebuilt trasm if the shop tell you you need a rebuilt ask for a second opignion hope it help fixya our post thanks pierre
Try disconnecting the battery for about a minute that fixed it on mine.

2004 Grand Caravan Speedometer and Tachometer quit working after jump starting the dead battery. Any ideas?
Driving and transmission seemed like it was slipping, tach and speedometer went crazy and then the speedo stopped working all together. Have had no problems with the transmission lately but how do i fix the speedometer? Can I do it myself? How much does it cost?
