I have a '95, Mercedes, e300d. Heater quit working 1 wk ago, but has come on twice when I would start the engin, then not the next time. Was told it could be the ballast resistor, and a cheap/easy fix (internet research, and friend of a friend). However, I have clue where the ballast resistor is located or what to look for. I am unable to find a diagram, any help/suggestions?

SOURCE: E300D Headlight Lens installation

First you have to remove the turn signal lamp. There is a plastic release tang that you push one way and pull the turn signal out. Next you have to remove the filler panel below the headlight assy to gain access to the bottom bolt. 2 screws hold the filler in place. There is also a black plastic filler panel that is pinned to the headlight assy remove it. There are 3 or 4  bolts that hold the headlamp assy in place 2 on top 1 on bottom actually it might be 2 on the bottom. (old age memory loss LOL) remove the bolts and remove the headlamp assy. The lens is held in by plastic clips just pry up gently on the locking clips and remove the lens. I hope this helps. It fairly easy and you should be able to DIY. Good luck and thanks for using FixYa!!

SOURCE: heater (and a/c) blower motor runs only at the two highest speeds

I had the same exact symptom (02 Prizm LSI)..Order yourself a Blower Motor Resistor (I clicked on it---scroll up on this same screen that you are reading--- AC Delco part, $25.79). When the part arrives, look at it, and then look behind and to the left of your glove box door, YOU WILL SEE IT RIGHT AWAY. 2 screws, takes about 10 minutes to change. Its been nice to get all 4 speeds back! Good luck.

SOURCE: location of heater blower resistor

Hi
Sorry....No good news on this problem.
The resistor is built into the blower motor and can NOT be removed
You are going to have to replace the motor
Best of luck
John

I am chasing information on the Jeep Grand Cherokee Wk 3L camshaft cap tension specs

https://eautorepair.net/Marketing/Default.asp

no year told, no country told. (wow what a challenge)
USA car? WK , or WK2?(2011 up)
wk is 2005 to 2010. WG is seen in Europe too.
I own 2010 wk, GAS 3.7L and have all books on it, every one. and more.and all WG and WK2 books.
what is 3L???? is a DIESEL CRD engine.? or this
or some have (3.0L) both digits mater.
Mercedes-Benz OM642 engine 3.0L 2005 to 9 diesel and none sold in USA WK actual.

camshaft cap;. not sure at all what is Cap, (the big NUT or BOLT?)for gear/cog?
show photos of object at hand?

tell country ,tell year, or tell VIN, even the dealer will not talk to you blind (text or phone ) lacking a VIN, that is so he does not lie to you.
and sell you wrong parts, books or worse spec torques.

my guess is ask your dealer for the service manual.
in Europe is it?
sorry best i can do blind.
