A reduced engine power provides insufficient capacity like known of the vehicle. For example, vehicle experiecing least capacity to perform on high grounds while ascending if simbolic of reduced engine power. Also, a vehicle with reduced engine power may be faulty requiring evaluation lest becomes extensive damage. The parts that contribute towards a vehicle mechnical propulsion are pistons, rings, as significant combustors. The contribution parts are spark plugs, fluel intact injectors, caberator cloggings, or simply gasoline inefficiency. A significant amount of power is acquired from the balancing tires, brakes, allignments and the like. Usually the perpose of the vehicle may not require to have enormous engine in terms of speed. Trail blaser have towing capacity requiring torc rather than speed for the most part. However, the multifunction feature may have cause the vehecle to wear down in some features. For example, torc producing vehicle like 4 wheel drives are least required for smooth driving zones else the gripping brackets come loose compromising the both toc and speed.
Redued engine power basically means it's in safe mode. Sometimes won't allow you to go past a certain seed also. A lot of times, this is caused by a sticking throttle body. Clean the throttle body with throttle body cleaner, while the battery is disconnected. Must be shiny, like new. When done, connect the battery back up and drive for 20 minutes or so with all Accessories OFF. The computer will relearn the properly operating throttle body at this point.
when the reduce engine power light kicks on once you get up to a higher rpm when you pass does it seem like its bogging down and dieing if so take it in have them hook up the computer the code will show that the clutch on the fan needs to be replaced because clutch is staying open at all times i have an 02 trailblazer with the 4.2 l inline 6

Sopunds like the computer has gone into a limp mode. You need to take it in for a professional diagnosis.
SOURCE: need to know what the "reduced engine power' MIL
this is one of two things, first theres a problem with the engine , the way it runs its loosing power or if the wheels spin and the computer picks it up then it will reduce the power to avoid wheels from slippping, this is like when driving in the snow, now if the check engine light is coming on with this message then you have a problem and the first thing to do would be to have the codes pulled and see what codes are stored. what happens is the computer sees a problem and turns on the light and stores a code for that problem. for example there may be a code that reads po300 multiple misfires. this code would mean the computer has seen the motor misfiring and with some testing the problem can be found. there are many auot part stores that will scxan the computer for free and give you a read out with the code. if you get the codes i can help you further, have a good day.
