With the door sagging it may not be pushing button in far enough to shut light off or aligning with button right.Replace bushings in door. The fuse is probably the same one for light and door locks.

SOURCE: Security Light always on, door lock fuse keeps blowing

This is most likely a problem with your Passlock anti-theft system which is known issue with these cars. Passlock is a "passive" anti-theft system, which means that it will disable your ability to start the car if it thinks there is a problem. The three components that can cause this are: 1) Ignition Switch, 2) Ignition Cylinder, 3) Body Control Module (computer). The dealer is the only one who can solve this problem (unless you can bypass it, but it is not that easy). Estimated repair from most dealers is $800 and up.

My 2000 chevy blazer 4Ă—4 4.3 vortec wont start after i changed map sensor. But i touched map wires together on misyake bcuz i didnt tape off bare wires yet... since then my blazer just wont start... it...

when you shorted the sensing wires together you have probably destroyed the map sensor. the car will not start, as it needs the barometric and manifold pressure. look in your owners manual for the fuses and check, You can google 20004 Chevy blazer fuse box location and diagrams. Why did you change the map sensor, did you have a failure code indicating a problem? quit throwing parts and money at it.

My 95 chevy blazer 4wd keeps blowing a 20amp fuse for the horn what could be the problem mY power seats don't work either also interior light and rear hatch

My guess would be a short in the wiring for any of the components.
It may be tough to find if there are several different circuits to test.

1993 camaro no secrty light wont crank

Most all mechanics pull the dome light fuse before working in the interior to avoid draining the battery.. On the 1994-95 Camaro the 20 Amp fuse courtesy light, also illuminates the orange security light in the dash cluster. If the security light is out, and your car won't start, it's because the VATS is in theft mode and you don't see it. Clean the key, if that don't work you may have an open short or broken wire in the orange jacket of the ignition (key) switch. Disconnect the harness connector and connect a matching resistor with the correct ohms of your key inline with the purple and white wires without cutting the connectors off, because you may latter need them. - Original Owner of 1995 Camaro.

I need the firing order for a 93 chevy blazer distributor.where is number 1?

Firing order for a 4.3 liter v6 1-6-5-4-3-2

#1 piston is the first spark plug drivers side front of engine.
Passenger side cylinders are 2 4 6
Drivers side cylinders are 1 3 5
Distributor rotates clockwise and the starting spot is marked with a 1 on the top of the distributor cap.
Make sure you note the position of the 1 on the old cap before you take it off so you don't rotate the new one 180 out

The blazer wont start. i purchased a brand new battery for it and the very next day it wouldnt start again. i took the alternator out to have it tested and it was ok

You probably have a parasitic battery drain. A good way to diagnose this is to disconnect the battery ground and plug in a light (a head lamp bulb is ideal, drains a lot of amps) in between the battery ground and the ground cable. Now with the key off, door closed (leave the driver door open but close the latch with a screwdriver or similar object) and every accessorie off, the bulb should not light (you'll have to wait a few minutes so all the modules go in sleep mode) After 10 minutes, if the bulb still light, even slightly, you've got you're self a drain. Now to diagnose, simply start with the undehood fuse block and pull fuses one by one until the bulb goes off. That will tell you witch circuit is causing the drain. put the fuse back in and confirm the light goes on again. Then verify what is in that fuse's circuit (wiring diagram realy useful here). You may also go pull the fuses in the instrument pannel fuse block to center in on the faulty circuit. Then you should concentrate on that cicuit to find the drain. Could be a wire or component short to ground or even a faulty connection or ground. Sounds complicated but it's not that hard.
Good luck

1996 Blazer dome light stays on

Could be a shorted switch leaving it on, but more likely one of the door switches is not working.

Start by closing all doors securely, then open each door, locate the door switch, and press it all of the way down. Does light go out? Try each door separately, with all other doors (and rear hatch) closed.

Dome lights won't turn off

Been having a problem with the dome lights on a 99 chevy blazer. Still can't figure out what the problem is. There is a dome light overide button located under the dimmer wheel. When I push the overide button in the dome light goes off, but when I open any of the doors the dome light will not come on. When the overide button is out the dome light stays on all the time and will not turn off even though every door is closed. I checked all the pushbuttons and everything tests good. Has anyone had this problem and know how to fix it?
