My 2008 TD Prado is starting to rattle louder when cold, can yo tell me if this is a concern

probably the heat shield around your catalytic converter has a few broken spot welds or an exhaust hanger is broken

run the fault codes
no fault codes , check for loose mud flaps , trim , wheel trim etc

Likely an exhaust heat shield. When the SUV is cold - after sitting for 4+ hours - crawl under the vehicle and see if any of the shields are loose that cover the exhaust pipes. If they are you can use sheet metal screws screwed into the shield and against the exhaust pipeto 'wedge' the shield so it doesn't move.

Sorry for the late reply but, no, it is not related to a loose heat shield. It is a louder rattling sound more like a loose bearing vibrating inside either the transmission or the clutch assembly. Only between 1600 and 1900 rpm. and it is not present under ou over these rpm. The rattle desappear when I lock the 4X4. Dealer is out of solution!!

No they are not the same even though they are both Toyotas.
Prado is a diesel car Hilux mostly petrol
both are 4x4

First issue is you have to find the rattle. No way to tell off your explanation what the rattle is. It could be the fan clutch (which is bad if it lets loose at 2500 rpms), you could have a huge number of little leaks of oil from anywhere on the motor causing the smoke. Its older either find someone to fix or try and fix the issues as you find them or it will get worse.

Have a look at the shrouds around your exhaust system, they are prone to shaking loose and rattle on over run.
Try giving your exhaust a bang ( with your hand when it is cold) and see if it causes the noise . Follow the noise.
Sometimes the baffles fall off inside the muffler and rattle around inside too.
